Chapter 21: All for Lydia's Wedding

When Caden asked Edith to be his date, those around the table stopped talking and looked expectantly at the young woman. Judith hid her grin behind her glass and raised an eyebrow. Caden gazed at Edith with serious eyes.

“Of course, Mr. Byrne,” Edith replied coyly. “So kind of you to ask.”

Caden smiled as much as he could without opening his mouth. He looked down and turned back to his drink.

“You’ll come too, won’t you Judith?” Lydia asked. “After our adventure, we are all friends now. I couldn’t imagine you not there.”

Judith’s mouth dropped open, and she looked at Edith.

“How long can you stay?” Edith asked. “It would be so much fun if you came too.”

“I’d love to come,” Judith grinned suddenly. “I’m here for a couple weeks…You know what this means?”

The friends all looked at each other questioningly.

“Girls' night!” Judith squealed and raised a hand.

Theresa and Lydia cheered.
