Lunch Date

Angelina was having a quiet day until someone broke into her office.

She noticed Andrew sitting comfortably in front of her.

"What exactly are you doing here? I've already stated that I need some time to consider whether or not to invest in your movie."

Andrew sat in his office chair, observing the interior of her office. Her office was crammed full of books and magazines. Especially the one where she was featured on the front page.

"I'm not here to talk about my movie. My manager was attempting to persuade your assistant to join him for lunch. And he'd assigned me the task of preventing you from ruining their lunch date."

"So your manager is bothering my assistant during working hours," Angelina stated, folding her hand in front of her. "It could have an effect on the performance of my company. Now I'm regretting giving him the idea of dating my assistant."

"First, look at your watch to see what time it is. It's all set for lunchtime. So, technically, he is not bothering your assistant or affecting your company's performance," he explained.

"What do you want to eat for lunch?" Andrew took out his phone and began placing orders for their lunch.

"I'm not interested in anything. I'm too tired to eat because I have so much work to do." Angelina started working on her computer.

Andrew looked at her and noticed how thin she was. He was perplexed as to how she had survived all these years while ignoring her food.

"You're having lunch, and that's the end of it. What? Don't give me that look, okay? Take a look at yourself; you seem quite malnourished. What will people say, a wealthy woman who cannot afford good food? If your stomach is full, you will be able to work for long periods of time." Andrew tried to persuade her to eat her lunch.

"All right, except for rice, you can order whatever you want." Angelina explained.

Andrew ordered two sets of dinner after obtaining her approval.

Their order took about thirty minutes to arrive. Andrew placed the food on the coffee table.

Angelina also left work for lunch. He had ordered a vegetable salad, mushroom soup, and steak for her.

They both began eating quietly. Andrew noticed her eating her food quickly, as if she needed to finish this task as soon as possible.

"Your eating habits are not conducive to digestion. Look at me, chew your food slowly, and then swallow it." He demonstrated how to eat food to her.

"Do I look like a kid who doesn't know how to eat food?" Angelina asked and pursed her lips.

"Your eating habits would embarrass a five-year-old child. Food is always avoided at school. It's as if the food wasn't a necessity for survival, you'd skip it." Andrew stated.

Her eyes were filled with mixed emotions after hearing his words. Andrew seemed to notice the turmoil in her eyes and felt heartache for her. He understands how much she must have gone through to get to where she is now.

"We've finished our lunch. "Please leave my office." Angelina noticed him snoozing in the office lounge.

"I've eaten so much that I can't move. Allow me some time to rest. Go get busy with your work," Andrew stated.

"If you do not leave my office within one minute, I will call security and have you escorted out. Tomorrow's headline will be written , 'Superstar Andrew Anderson was kicked out of the H&A.' It will undoubtedly harm your reputation."

"Sheesh! You are such a heartless person. Bye-Bye, Lady Boss," he said as he stood up and walked towards the exit.

"Wait," Angelina abruptly said.

"SO, do you find your conscience now that you've changed your mind? It's good to keep such a handsome man in front of your eyes." he said with a small smile

Angelina rolled her eyes at him and said, "Send your manager to my office. I need to speak with him about something."

"All right," Andrew paused for a moment and looked her in the eyes, "I hope you've been doing well all these years and must be happy now that you've achieved your goal." he said solemnly as he exited the room

Angelina was taken aback when she heard him. Yes, she had accomplished her goal, but was she content? She took a deep breath to block out all the emotions that were making her doubt herself. She decided to busy herself with work.

There was a knock on the door after a while.

"Please come in." After obtaining permission, the manager entered the room and sat in front of her.

"What made you call me?" Grayson expressed his displeasure. He was trying to find a girlfriend, but these people kept getting in his way.

"Are you sure you're serious about Lucy?" Angelina inquired and her face was solemn.

Grayson was taken aback. He hadn't expected her to call and ask such a question , "What do you mean?"

"Let me make it clear. If you're trying to provoke me by playing with my assistant. Then simply back off. People who try to mess with my people will not have a good ending. I can forgive you for your immaturity. But don't go too far. You don't want me to be your enemy, do you?" Angelina stated in a cold tone.

"I won't say I'm in love with her. I like her personality and want to get to know her better. I also want her to be my girlfriend. If our relationship progresses, I wouldn't mind marrying her." He stated his point solemnly.

"Angelina. You might be thinking that I'm doing all of this just to provoke you. But I really want to find someone with whom I can spend the rest of my life. If Lucy and I get together, I will always be faithful to her and never hurt her." Grayson explained.

"I'm not going to get involved in either of your matter. But I hope everything you've said is true. Otherwise, have your artist plan a funeral for you." Angelina said with a wicked grin.

Grayson felt a shiver run down his spine after hearing her words.

"Please don't give me that ghostly grin. I seriously doubt you'll find a husband or boyfriend with that smile of yours." Grayson stated.

"Anyone after looking into my bank balance will be willing to be my boyfriend or husband. You don't have to be concerned about me. I've got a lot of work to do. Get lost " Angelina pushed him away after warning him.

Grayson snorted and walked out of the office, saying, "Such a devil." He muttered to himself.

Angelina believed that she could finally devote her full attention to her work. Her assistant is now standing in front of her, her head down. She looked like a child who had made a mistake and was awaiting punishment.

Angelina rubbed her brows and asked her assistant, "Should I put the DO NOT DISTURB sign outside my office?"

"Why isn't anyone letting me do my work peacefully?"

"I'm sorry, boss. I brought my personal work into the office today. Grayson was bugging me, so I agreed to meet him for lunch." Lucy said with a guilty expression.

"Lucy, your life does not revolve around me, and you have the right to live your life the way you want," Angelina sighed." You went out to dinner with him during lunch, which is the personal time for all employees in the company, including yourself. You are not required to report or seek permission for anything you do during your personal time."

"Now get back to work and don't let anyone into my office."
