Tokyo, Japan,

Hayes Residence,

Samuel POV,

It was now dawn the next day. The Sun was rising from the horizon, gentle and pleasant rays lighting up the area while casting a shade over certain parts of it due to the position of the Sun. A few people could be seen walking around here and there but one could easily surmise from their appearances that they were heading to work, some students were present but they were the more... 'diligent' ones.

Soon enough, Tokyo would return to the bustling city it was at day and at night, with mornings being relatively calmer and pleasant compared to the former two.. Such was the case even for Shibuya which was known to have a 'peaceful' suburban area.. if it could be called that.

But we digress,

At the moment, if one were to focus on the Hayes Residence, they would see a silver haired teenager (that didn't quite look to be a teenager) doing a one armed handstand, pushing himself up and down with a rather blank face and no, he wasn't shirtless.

Samuel, had a blank look because he had been doing this for about an hour now and wasn't even close to getting tired.. Furthermore, it was getting less and less difficult each time instead of more and more....

"I don't get it." Even as he said that however, Samuel did understand what was happening.

Adaptation did, to some extent, go hand in hand with evolution. Each time Samuel strained himself, his body would 'adapt' or 'improve' to make sure he didn't suffer from the same strain again... At the same time though, didn't it make working out kind of useless unless he went too far?

[Ohkwang: The God of High School is soon to begin, young man.]

The buzzing of his phone prompted him to pick it up from the ground with his free hand. Noticing the Jade Emperor's words, a small smile formed on his face. As a martial artist, Samuel was quite jovial at even getting a chance to witness something of this magnitude,.. only, time didn't stop when he visited member worlds and as such, he couldn't exactly go over without a proper excuse... An excuse he didn't have.

Some distance off, two men dressed in black could be seen atop the roof of an apartment building. One held binoculars while the other was lying down, a hand on the trigger of a sizable firearm, a sniper rifle.

"Nothing is in sight." The one in binoculars affirmed with a serious nod, they had been tasked with a rather stressful job.

"Haah, I doubt anyone would even have the guts." The one with the sniper let out a relieved sigh, contrary to what they were currently doing suggested however, "Still though, the young heir is hella fit for his age."

"I'll agree.." His partner nodded, could either of them even do that? For a full hour without even breaking a sweat? He sincerely doubted that notion.

"Well, everything's secure. How much more till we get called back?"

"An hour more, I think. I can check back if you want."

"No no, I really like sitting out here with a sniper aimed at my boss' house instead of enjoying breakfast.." The sniper's voice carried a tinge of displeasure, which was understandable.

"Sour asshat."

They had been here for hours, watching over the main family... A few other groups were present in the area too. Of course they were, the criminal activity was soaring in these areas and as such, security was also greatly increased... at least till they relocated.

Back to Samuel,

[Samuel: I'll try my best to attend the preliminaries.]

That was the best he could, now hopefully the old man wouldn't get upset about being rejected.

[Ohkwang: Oh it's not trouble, though I did at least wish to meet you face to face.]

They had conversed a bit the night before but it didn't progress much, they were rather strange people after all. Not exactly the type to make do and get along like friends the first day.

[Samuel: I share your sentiment, though we might get an opportunity soon regardless.

Ohkwang: I agree.]

Naturally, they were referring to the mission that would most definitely be assigned to them soon enough though, Ohkwang wasn't exactly keen on doing what someone asked of him but would do it to entertain himself... old age really did make certain things rather boring and repetitive.

With that, the Jade Emperor went off, not saying goodbye or something... more like the thought never crossed the man's mind.. Why would it? Samuel was a human, he was a God.

Samuel slightly huffed, getting to his feet as he put the phone in his pocket, it was rather strange to be this polite and respectful. He stretched his arms and legs a bit, a smile forming on his face.

Helpful or not, this did calm him down a lot.

And that Shouko girl, she hadn't quite helped him improve but her words did mean a lot.. More so because no one had said them so genuinely, not even his own family.. but, he didn't blame them. They weren't even aware of it for the most part, "Can't expect people to help me with my problems if they don't even know em."

'Say that to Gen Z.' Echidna giggled at her own joke, modern humour was a really curious thing.

"...." Samuel regretted having the witch learn of modern culture, she'd already started memeing and stuff...

'On that note, your videos seem to be gaining traction already.'

Samuel nodded thoughtfully, he'd expected a positive reaction, however, the rate was a little too fast.. Already having crossed a thousand subscribers and a hundred thousand views despite it being only a few days... But then again, he was certain all the shares and reposts that came with a public platform helped with publicity definitely because he was the sole legal owner of his content and as such, had to be credited lest they wish to face a lawsuit.

'Rather intricate but still, this world works on harsher rules.' Echidna commented plainly, slightly excited, in her own one, you could simply amass power and gain a certain degree of immunity. It wasn't so here at all. The strongest and largest of men would be brought down by those not even half their own physical size.

A loud bang brought Samuel out of his thoughts and he quickly turned his head in it's general direction only to see something he was certain he'd never forget.. Ren had crashed into the door somehow and it was now lying on the ground.. Some parts of it were destroyed too.

"What in the..." Samuel was speechless, the man was straight up walking collateral damage.

"Have a good day dear!" Mei waved her hand jovially, already used to occurrences like these. They had money so it wasn't really worth it to scold him over breaking down a door.

Ren nodded sternly before walking down the street, fixing his collars, slightly flinching as he ran a gaze over the destroyed door.... He hadn't done it on purpose.

Samuel lightly chuckled before he started laughing, truly, he was grateful to whoever had given him this.

Mei simply smiled, her son had been slightly brighter since yesterday for some reason.

"Bring in the mail please? Also you need to drop off your sister." Mei gave him a thumbs up before walking inside, again, not even slightly bothered by the strange occurrence a few moments ago.

Samuel nodded, quickly took the mail, picked up the door from the ground before walking in, placing it against the stairs for when the repairmen arrived.

One of the, for lack of better words, letters, was addressed to Samuel himself so after placing the rest on the living room table, he took a seat beside Rin who was quietly eating some pancakes and opened it.

"...." Rin curiously glanced over at what was in her brother's hands only for her eyes to widen in a mixture of shock and surprise... Those feelings however soon turned to admiration and a sense of pride, she didn't understand just how he got that though.

"Huh, she kept her word." Samuel slightly whistled looking at the letter of graduation from Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy for the 'second' year even though he had attended the third.. Well, this was his ticket into getting into a high school he wanted to rather than be forced into one and such, he was somewhat happy.

Though... he expected it to be recalled considering he well... demolished the school building.. Not that they knew that of course.

"Eh Eh? Who are we talking about? Did you get a girlfriend?!" Mei hurried over with excited eyes, though it was time to do serious mom activities and that was to test if she belonged to the streets or with her son! Hm, Mei was motivated!

"No, but this is better." Samuel folded his arms, throwing the certificate on the table with a small smile.

".... How?"

"You could say graduation tests.." Said tests were beating people up though.

"Wha..." Mei tilted her head in confusion, when did he take those?

Nonetheless, she hugged him tightly, "Super proud of you!"
