[Ellie's P.O.V.]
A few more months passed and the weather started becoming colder. Even though I was wearing thick clothes, they still couldn't block the cold wind that mercilessly pierced my neck.
I walked for god knows how long with all the bags in my hands before I finally reached the door. I took a closer look and saw Edith standing at the door.
She was dressed very thinly as if she had simply pulled a coat out of the house.
She was smoking a cigarette with her right hand and looking up at the snow on the pine tree, seemingly in a daze.
