"Do you want to rest for a while?" asked Ellie.

I shook my head. I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. I hadn't been able to ever since I heard about my mother. When I was drunk for three days, dreams, illusions, and reality merged into one. I would occasionally see images of my mother, most likely manifested from my strong desire to know everything about her. And now, I couldn't stop thinking about her letter and her grave.

"Where are we going next?" Ellie knew more than I did.

"The parking lot."

I followed her out of the living room and to the entrance of the parking lot. I was familiar with everything here. From the first time I parked here to when I took one of Ellie's cars and moved in here.

But I wondered why Ellie brought me here. What did my mother leave for me here that Ellie would next tell me?
