[Ellie's P.O.V.]
The man led us through a door and into the elevator, heading straight to the thirteenth floor. When the elevator door opened, my vision turned white for a moment.
The thirteenth floor was very bright.
That was my first impression. Kirk narrowed his eyes, most likely thinking the same. The receptionist looked completely fine, though. He must come here often and had thus gotten used to the lighting.
Kirk and I were quick to adapt to the light as we followed the man.
The office was at the end of this floor. The thick door opened into an extremely spacious room. However, before I entered, I noticed the nameplate on the wall beside the door: President's Office.
I was puzzled. After entering, I saw a young werewolf standing in front of the huge French window, swirling a glass of red wine in his hand. He was looking out the window. I wasn't sure if he was the manager or the president.
