Trap

[Anton's P.O.V]

I tried taking a few steps on the ground beneath my feet, and the sound I produced was heavy, completely different from Kirk's situation. It seemed like the issue was really under his feet.

After Kirk stepped on it a few times, he squatted down cautiously to observe the situation. He even lay down on the ground, bringing his ear close to the floor to listen for any sounds from below. I approached him and started searching around him for any mechanisms.

The floor was smooth, with no visible signs of division. Even though I knew it was a vacuum below, I didn't dare to act recklessly, fearing that it might cause some disturbance or draw the spirits from outside back in.

After observing for a while and finding nothing, Kirk and I exchanged a helpless glance. Maybe the actress had just changed her movements for the sake of variety, and we were overthinking it. So Kirk bounced up, and we prepared to continue our exploration elsewhere.
