[Ellie's P.O.V]
Carlisle pressed something with one hand. As the stone door slowly closed, I saw the smile forming at the corner of his lips.
The roar of the giant lion grew nearer. I had to hide, but it seemed like the lion had no intention of attacking me. It became docile upon seeing me. Could it be that it sensed the mutation?
Regardless, it was a relief that my first step outside wasn't met with being devoured or slapped away by a lion. Even though I could now shift into a body twice the original size, it didn't seem noteworthy in front of the lion.
Carefully avoiding the lion, I walked up to it. The scene the "elder" had shown me was from the lion's perspective, so standing here allowed me to observe the surroundings.
The arc-shaped trees were dense, providing ample hiding places. I scanned the area, unsure of where Anton and Kirk might be concealed. Sniffing around, I reached the base of a large tree.
