[Ellie's P.O.V]
"I'm not forcing him. He's about to come of age, but he's been overly protected. He still lacks maturity. Let him go to a bigger world, see different places, meet more people, and experience more things," Count Andrew concealed his reluctance and expressed his inner hope to Xavier.
Tears welled up in Xavier's eyes. "Dad..."
Anton and I exchanged a glance and said, "We'll wait for Xavier in the car. If he decides to leave, he can come find us in two hours. If he chooses not to, we will respect his decision."
We nodded to Count Andrew and turned to get into the car. The father and son also entered their apartment.
Two hours passed quickly. I looked at the apartment door, but there was still no sign of Xavier. It seemed he couldn't bear to leave Count Andrew and had decided to stay with him. I withdrew my gaze and said to Ollie, "Let's go."
