[Ellie's P.O.V]

"If it weren't for my wife's kindness, always helping stray cats and dogs, and seeing you in distress, we wouldn't have extended a helping hand. But what did you do? You directly set your sights on my house. People like you are even worse than stray animals!" The man scolded, vividly portraying a person who had been deceived.

The surrounding crowd cast condemning glances at Leah, pointing fingers at her and hurling insults. The air was filled with harsh words directed at Leah.

Seeing this, Leah staggered back a few steps, gritting her teeth. "You... you will regret your actions sooner or later!"

"What's there to regret? Is it wrong to speak the truth? It's really a joke." The man sneered up at the sky a few times, and the people around burst into laughter.

Leah turned around, and wherever she looked, everyone openly mocked her. The laughter made her body tremble, as if she were suppressing something.
