[Haru Norman's Point of View]
I stared at the girl in front of me, and she did not seem pleased.
"So, Haru." She said, not amused. "Do you know who I am?"
Of course I knew who she was.
Ally Black. The most popular girl in the campus. She's a hardcore daddy's girl, and boy does her dad spoil her. She's the daughter of Jacob Black, one of the biggest businessmen in the country. She had the face and curves of a supermodel, and even though it was widely known that she sleeps around with everyone (including the teachers for extra grades,) every guy on campus had a crush on her.
Including me.
But I couldn't just say that to her.
Everyone's eyes were on us, as we were standing in front of the giant building.
Instead of answering her, I just looked down, which clearly irritated her.
"Seems like you do know who I am." I could basically hear the eye-roll in her voice. "I found out that little Haru here, has a huge crush on me."
My eyes grew wide.
How did she know that?
However, judging by her minions giggling behind her, I could say they had a hand in it.
"You know, Haru," She walked towards me and lifted my chin to look at her. "I thought you were kinda cute at first, but now that I think about it, I hate myself for thinking like that. I mean, look at you! You're not worth me, anyways."
Laughter erupted from around me, as I tried to hold back the tears that were struggling not to come out.
"I guess I would've given you a chance," She took her hand back, wiping it with a tissue. "If you wouldn't have been a coward and actually proposed to me."
She turned around, but before leaving, she said one last line.
"Never mind, I wouldn't have even thought of giving you a chance if you proposed." She rolled her eyes before walking away with her minions, leaving me heartbroken between a crown filled with people laughing, and glares directed at me from her fanboys.
I turned around on my heel and quickly hurried away from the university campus as my tears finally came though.
I ran where ever my legs went to.
Honestly, I didn't care if it took me to a cliff so I could jump off.
It's not like I had anything to lose.
Not anymore, at least.
Surprisingly, it didn't take me to a cliff.
I was taken to a nearby park, where I decided to just stay until my tears decide its time to stop coming out.
I hid behind a tree, weeping uncontrollably.
Why was my life like this?
I can barely make it pass a day with a full stomach. Hell, I could hardly have money to eat three times a day.
And then, my crush decides to make a joke out of my love for her.
I feel so pathetic crying like this, but what else could I do? I don't control my emotions.
[Dolores Miller's Point of View]
Fucking hell.
The day I got some time off to go hunting, my prey decides it's time for them to stay indoors.
I'm a predator with no prey, goddammit. And the fact that my people look up as a role model for hunting, makes it even more irritating.
Might as well burn me alive.
I sucked my teeth and leaned against a tree, cracking my neck bones as I gazed at the all-to-familiar sunset.
'You are my doll, sweetie. I'll always keep on playing with you. Sometimes rocking you in my arms, and sometimes pulling you close to my chest. Close to my heart.'
'We look so beautiful. Just like how the moon decorates the clouds, or how the sea decorates the sun, or even like how the stars decorates the sky. Just like how you decorate my existence.'
'As long as you hold my hand, I'll hold yours and take you though every single war in life. Then I'll let go and teach you how to face them, so when I die, I won't be worried for you because I know you'll protect yourself.'
'Now that our parents are gone, a new story will begin in our lives. And in this story, I'll teach you how to build your own character. A character so powerful, that when I'm no more, you'll have no problem writing your very own story. A story that will rule the pages of history.'
'A world far beyond what we know, come let's go there together. No more pain, no more torture. Just you, and me. Together. Forever.'
I leaned my head back to the tree trunk, slowly closing my eyes.
"I will forever be your beloved, hermano. Just like how you'll be mine." I whispered, slowly smiling at the thought of seeing my big brother once I get home.
My thoughts were interrupted by a sound of weeping coming from close by.
I stood up, and walked towards where the sound was coming from.
There, behind the tree I was leaning on, was a boy, weeping like there's no tomorrow.
I walked closer, just as my legs caused a leaf to crunch, starting me and making a whimper erupt from me.
The boy's head snapped up as his eyes met mine. He quickly wiped the tears from his eyes, and stood straight, letting me have a clearer look of his face.
He had hazel brown hair, crystal green eyes that twinkled with his long lashes. A perfectly shaped nose that sat on top of his pink lips.
"Beautiful."
"Indeed, he is beautiful."
I tilted my head, admiring the man in front of me, as he tilted his head to copy my position.
~~~
"Steven Johnson." I glared at the man who dared step on my territory.
"Hello, Dolores." He said, smirking, as he stood up from the couch his was sitting on. "How are you doing, mi amiga?"
"I am not your 'amiga,' Johnson. I think that is something you're well aware of." I spat, walking closer to him.
"Whatever." He rolled his eyes. "Let's get down to business, on why I came here in the first place."
"Finally." I rolled my eyes back at him.
"You'll be joining your brother to the annual get-together for the leaders from this year, am I correct?" He crossed his arms.
"Yes, I will be joining him as he's going to retire soon." I smirked.
"I see." He looked me up and down, but I knew for a fact that he wasn't checking me out. "It's sad to see that the 'empire' your parents build will no longer have a king to rule over it."
"Indeed, it won't have a king. It shall have a queen, and she'll do the job as well as a king, if not better." I scrowled.
"I see. Well then, I shall see you in the party." He clapped his hands before walking pass me, to the exit. "However," He turned around facing me one last time. "I must warn you to stay out of my way, Dolores. My father made me so no one could take the throne until my son takes over. And I wouldn't want to hurt a woman."
"Your time to rule is over, Johnson." I smirked. "And I'm not afraid to hurt a man."
"Are you challenging me, Miller?" He chuckled.
"Whatever I'm doing, isn't of your concern. For now, you are in my territory, and I can easily kick you out on a legal note."
Steven laughed. "We'll meet again, Dolores." He turned around, showing me a single wave. "Until then, adios, mi amiga."
I walked into a coffee shop, my hands tucked away in a pocket. I sat on a seat as I ordered my regular, rubbing my hands together because of the chilly atmosphere in the shop.
That's when I saw him.
The boy in the park I saw a few days ago.
He was sitting by himself, writing something in a notebook. The plugs of a headphone attached to his ear.
He truly was a perfect beauty.
"Mine..."
