We were put in a wagon. Honestly speaking, I didn't know they still existed. Now and then, we were bouncing since there were potholes everywhere.
I was so angry instead of scared. These people were delaying our time. We needed to get to a safe place and they were here searching for money.
After a while of bouncing in the wagon, we got to the bandits' destination. It was a house made of sticks. Great! That's just what we needed.
Of course, it was not what we needed! A zombie could easily break this down. Apart from that, it was in the middle of nowhere.
There are no trees around. It was easy for a zombie to attack us.
"It's okay, Ephy. You've been talking all about zombies. It's okay. We'll figure out a way to escape from here." Senah said. Oops…I said my thoughts out loud.
The bandits brought us out from the wagon and sent us to a room in the house. From the way I saw the structure, I realized that there wasn't any foundation.
I also noticed that they built the structure without a floor but on bare sand. What if a scorpion bit me?
At that moment, I realized I was just thinking about stupid things. Even my younger sister had relaxed. When Henry turned his back and left, Brandon pointed to the wall.
There was a crack in the wood which when forced open, would create a hole enough for all of us to pass through.
But then I told them that we had to time the movement of the people. Xavier then said we should wait for two hours.
And so, that's what we did.
