I groaned in pain as I tried to move my body, I opened my eyes slowly but the bright lights made me shut my eyes tightly. My head was pounding like it was going to explode any moment soon, my entire body was aching, especially my legs but most especially and importantly, I need water.
"Water..." I managed to say, my voice almost inaudible, "I need water..."
Just then, I felt a strong hand lift my head a bit and another holding a glass of water close to my mouth, I opened my eyes slightly but I couldn't see properly as every image was blur. I emptied the whole glass of water and it felt like my body was brought back to life. My throat wasn't dry and hurting anymore but, my eyes became heavy. I felt that very hand slowly and gently place my head on a soft padded and without realizing it, I was swallowed by sleep.
Raman sat comfortably on the couch that was only a few meters away from the window but this time around, the room wasn't dark and half-empty.
The room which was bigger and way beautiful than his room in the demon world had walls that were tarrced with white and blue marbles wall ties which matched the colors of the sheets and curtains. In the middle of the room was a big bed that was very close to the wall, at the left hand side of the room was a big closet with different menwares with different colors, few steps away from the closet was the door that led to the bathroom. Fifteen feet away at the right hand side of the bed was a big dressing table with a large dressing mirror that hung on the wall and was sealed to the table, just beside the bed was a bedside drawer and a jug of water was placed on it. Not too far away from the bed was a beautiful glass made center table with a flower vase on it, at the right side of the room was the casement which was covered with long white beautiful curtains, two couches were placed a few steps away from the casement where one could sit to enjoy the breeze and and also get a good view of the the beautiful garden within the mansion.
The cool breeze penetrated through Raman's skin as he shut his eyes and relaxed comfortably on the couch, leaning his back against the couch.
The images of everything that happened yesterday popped in his head. He remembers how his demon woke up just because of her voice, how he killed the royal guards and even burnt some of them alive, especially the general. He remembers how he felt when he caught her just before she fell, her face is like an image he can't seem to get out of his head. It keeps popping up in his head over and over again. He had caught her from falling and he couldn't help but study her face. Her beautiful, attractive oval but pale face caught his attention, her red hair mixed with black, forming the dark auburn color covered half of her, he remembers using his fingers to move them to the back of her ear. She was extremely beautiful... Her pointed nose and small pale uni lips did a great job in contributing to her beauty. He knew her face was pale because she was weak and was badly injured as well. Her long blue dress that was covered in dirt revealed her shoulders and her upper bust. Her body fitted perfectly in his arms like it was meant to be there. He suddenly had the urge to kiss her but he stopped himself before his demon completely gets out of control. He had bought her to his house in the human world and watch her lay uncoincious, he wondered why on earth he couldn't bring himself to leave and stop admiring her beauty. He offered her a glass of water and watched her fall back to sleep and then nursed her wounds before he left her.
What the hell is wrong with him? Why can't he stop thinking about her? Why did her voice wake his demon? How is that even possible?... He kept asking himself different questions but he couldn't provide an answer to any of his questions. Raman stood from the couch he was sitting on and walked up to the casement, after standing there for a while, he headed to the bathroom. He needs to cool his head and his mind, his mind right now is in a total mess, he isn't thinking straight. Maybe if he showered, his mind might become calm, then he'll think of what to do with the stranger he saved last night. He thought and headed to the bathroom to take a long bathe.
I opened my eyes slowly and looked around me, traveling my eyes on each and every corner of the room before sitting up, having no clue of where I am at the moment. Surveying the room properly, I couldn't help but fall in love with what I had my eyes on. This room was big and beautiful. Actually no, this room was way beyond beautiful, it was extraordinarily magnificent, it looked just like a king's room.
Wait... Hold on a sec... King's what?!!... Could I be back at the palace... I thought and my eyes widened. I rubbed my eyes with my palms, open my eyes and blinked twice when I was done but nothing changed. Everything remained the same.
"No, no, no... I can't possibly be back at the palace, that's...that's not possible." I mumbled to myself and the images of everything that happened last night which I can still clearly remember flashed in my head.
I remember struggling with the royal guards and shouting for help, the scary voice and the sudden change of weather, the way the royal guards were screaming and of course, the cold hand I felt around my waist before passing out. I also remember asking for water and someone offering me water then I fell asleep.
I can't possibly be back in the palace, besides, I've stayed in the palace for more than two to three weeks and I've never seen this room back in the palace. I'm very much sure my saviour brought me here after saving me last night. Judging from the looks of the room, If my saviour is probably a king then I'm sure he's way more powerful and also has more riches than that old man in Vartish. He might not only be a powerful king but also a kind person for saving me, bringing me to his home and having me sleep on this big, comfortable, soft bed.
Wait a minute... I moved to the edge of the trundle and climb down the trundle. I'm no longer in pains, I could stand and walk. I placed my hand on my head and I felt the bandage that was wrapped around my forehead.
Did my saviour really do all this?
He brought to his home, offered me water, allowed me sleep on this super comfy bed, and nursed each and every one of my wound making sure there was not even a bit of pain left in any part of me.
My saviour really is a nice person, I really need to thank him a lot for everything but, I haven't even laid my eyes him and I have no idea what he looks like. I thought to myself and bit my lower lip slightly. Anyway, I shouldn't be too worried about that, sooner or later I'll definitely get to see him.
I walked around the room to feast my eyes on this beautiful room. With every step I took, I was amazed by every feature of the room. The room was massive, it was nothing less of a masters bedroom. The chandalier was beautiful with so many lights hanging on it. The white marbled walls ties, the painting on the left side of the wall, the glass made center table that has a flower vase on it, the wall clock that looked like it was almost made of gold, the king sized bed I laid on a while ago that had white sheets and blankets on it, the curtains, the dressing table, the closet, the settings, everything.... Every little thing was just too amazing. The room looked like one that could only be found in stories.
I walked up to the dressing table and was left terrified when I saw my very own reflection.
Right now, one could actually compare me to crazy woman or a pig cause there was absolutely no difference. I looked like someone who had just woken up from the dead. My face and dress was covered in dirt, my hair looked liked a bird's nest with leaves in it. I was a total mess. With this look of mine, I really hope I didn't scare away my saviour. I really need to get myself cleaned by taking a shower but if I do that right now, I'll be left naked with no clothes to wear cause I definitely can't wear this again... I really need to see my saviour and probably explain my dilemma to him. But, I have no clue where he might be.
Should I go step out of the room and go search for him or I just stay wait here for him?... I asked myself in my head.
No, I can't go out looking like a walking dead, I should rather just wait here. Yes, I'll wait... Sooner or later, my saviour will turn up.
I thought to myself and went back to lay on the comfy big bed, leaning my back on the headboard.
