Ayato was bored... Again.
The week wait before the answer was like a way of torture, when you knew something was going to happen, the time it took to take place seemed longer than it actually was.
If only... If only there was a way for him to relieve this boredom, he tried sleeping but he couldn't do it because he slept in today.
As he was about to start contemplating his life choices, he felt a weight settle on his chest.
Soft.
Focusing his senses, he rose an eyebrow behind his sleep mask at Rin who seemed to be pouting.
"Is something wrong, Rin?"
As far as he knew, she was also waiting for her answers. Ayato entertained the thought that she was anxious for only a moment before discarding it, she wasn't nervous, she was never nervous about tests.
Slowly, she reached out, her hand coming ever so closer hos his face. He wanted to mess with her right now, but she would probably not talk to him for a few hours if he did something.
Her fingers circled his mask and pulled it up, over his head, his horns, and was discarded to the side.
She brought herself up to his eye level and waited. Obliging her, his eyes snapped open, feral, reptilian-looking eyes staring into her own.
Many were underserved when he just glanced at them, and some were reduced to a shivering mess when they received a glare. They were and would be, the most distinctive aspect of him that would bring week willed to their knees with just a glance, Yet, she couldn't bring herself to be intimidated, unnerved, nor even worry about them staring at her, about him, staring at her.
To her, those eyes always brought the feeling of familiarity, with her knowing them ever since they were four, calmness, with how they always seemed to be impartial to their surroundings and security, with how they softened whenever they landed on her.
She saw them angry, annoyed, yes, angry? Not yet, not in her whole ten, almost eleven, years of knowing him.
"No-"
She placed her head down on his collarbone, nestling her face into his neck, she was rather comfortable, strangely so.
"-Nothing's wrong."
His arm came around her waist and he released a sigh of contentment. She agreed, really, this was nice.
"You worried about the test answers?"
Ayato's question was more to keep the conversation going, he knew already.
"No, the tests were easy enough."
She mumbled from his neck, her breath tickling his skin. Absently noticing that she was falling asleep, Ayato planned to entertain her until she did.
"Yeah, we did have weird questions though."
She hummed, seemingly thinking about something. As if coming to a realization, her eyes snapped open and she shot up, using her hands to support her as she hovered right in front of his face.
In response to her sudden movement, Ayato just raised an interested eyebrow.
"let's go out today."
The other eyebrow joined its brother, now both threatening to invade the hairline territory.
"Like a date?"
Pink dusted her cheeks but she nevertheless nodded resolutely, and Ayato could swear he saw a fire ignite in her eyes.
Pretending to think about it, he put his free hand on his chin.
Seeing this, Rin resorted to pouting and squinting her eyes. Smirking at the face she made, Ayato chuckled and nodded. He was going to ask her out soon, anyway, she just beat him to it.
Brightening up instantly, she got stood up and raced out of his bedroom... Now that he thought about it, why was she in his bedroom, anyway?
Mentally shrugging, the teen stood up and walked over to his dresser, and opened the door.
His options were: Jeans... Jeans... Jeans...a black shirt, a blue shirt, a white shirt, a red shirt, and a shirt with stripes...
He went with a white shirt and jeans. He loved the variety, sure he had more, but they were going out, not going to a concert or a fancy restaurant.
Walking out of his room, he went towards the exit. Grabbing white shoes to match his shirt, he put them on and leaned the door... This was going to take a while.
Taking out his phone, he scrolled through the internet, or more specifically, this world's variant of Reddit, which was still called Reddit but the logo was different.
All might memes were trending...
Sometimes, he missed his old world, this one was too lame.
He scrolled down for a few minutes after changing the format, now, he was looking at cat videos... Maybe he should invest in a cat, though, it would take a lot of work.
When his housemate's door finally opened, the teen looked up. Well... She didn't hold back, did she?
Her outfit was simple but made her stand out.
A simple white shirt, revealing her stomach, shot and tight jeans, covering half of her thighs, and a simple, green jacket that reached right below her hips, and the only reason for that was because she didn't pull it up to her shoulders.
"Doesn't that jacket contradict the purpose of a jacket?"
His bland remark drew a blank look, then a glare from her.
"We're going on a date and that's the first thing you say?"
Ayato stared at her as if to say "You know me too well to expect anything different.", how could a single look convey that? Well, they had no idea, but it did.
Sighing at him, Rin proceeded to walk over to him and slid her arm in the opening that was presented to her, since his hand was inside his pocket.
Opening the door, Ayato turned off the light and locked the door as he walked out.
"...Did we turn off the TV?"
Focusing on his Quirk, he plugged the TV out of the wall and nodded to Rin.
Well, he just hoped that this date would not be interrupted by a villain... He would crush their lungs, otherwise.
