Day from Hell part 1

Jade woke up feeling like something bad might happen. When she checked her phone there wasn't a single notification which was odd. Her phone normally has at least one or two texts from her brothers. So she decided to give them a call to check up on them. Maverick picked up on the first ring.

"H...hey sis," said Maverick in a shaky voice.

Her brother never got scared or unsure of himself.

"Rick, cough once if something is bad happening and cough twice if everything is fine," demanded Jade.

Rick coughed once and all of the alarms in her body went nuts.

"Are you home with the fam?" asked Jade.

"Yes, someone dropped off twelve puppies today," said Maverick with fake excitement.

Maverick has a deadly allergy to dogs so she knew he was talking about how many people were holding them hostage.

"Are the bodyguards there?" asked Jade in a shaky voice.

"Those dogs are missing at the moment." whispered Rick, "Please come get us. They already threatened to kill mom and Ava if we did anything stupid. They don't know I am on the phone right now. We are in the basement and I don't know where they are keeping mom. I am here with......."

A voice yelling in the background stopped Maverick from finishing his sentence. She heard one guy say something like you're going to pay for this punk. Then a gun went off. Maverick screamed. Something heavy hit the ground then the phone call ended. With that, she called James no answer. She tried Issac and Sam still no answer. Then she tried Riley and he answered on the first ring.

"Yea, who is this?" asked Riley.

"The girl who threatened to kill you if anything happen to my family. Guess what it's your lucky day. I am going to find you and murder you in front of your whole family. Oh and tell your friends that today is their last day too. They have my family and now my mom is probably dead because you couldn't do your job." yelled Jade into the phone.

She heard a gasp in the background. Then people ran to the phone.

Sam grabbed the phone and yelled, "What do you mean they have your family? We are watching them on the monitors."

She sent them the recording she made of the call she had with her brother. After they heard it everything went quiet.

"Let me hack into the system and see if anything was messed with," grumbled Jade.

After a few clicks on her computer, she gasped.

"As I suspected they hacked into the system, and you're watching a video loop. You dummies watched the screens and not my actual family. They are in the basement being held hostage while you watch the football game. I can't believe I let you live." growled Jade.

Jade let out a primal scream and collapsed to the ground. When she finally came to she felt different. Looking down at her hands and gasping at how perfect her nails and skin looked. Then a noise made her look behind her and nearly passed out. She had wings that looked like black angel wings. Using her new abilities she flew home and kicked the door down. James fell to the ground in shock.

"Get out of my way!" roared Jade.

They ran out of her way. The sound of a scream made them all jump and run down to the basement.
