Ava responded: I plan on going to the meeting and having you and Jade's husband follow me in the far distance. I don't want to spook this person. We don't know if he or she will be alone.
She put her phone down and FaceTimed them.
Jade and Hades answered on the first ring.
"Hey, sis-in-law!" Cheered Sam.
"I heard you had twins." Yelled Tyler from the other room.
"Yes, I did and they are already flying everywhere and causing chaos. Well, it makes sense." Laughed Jade.
Hades laughed and said, "Well they are related to me so, of course, they will be little monsters."
Jade and Sam groaned as a bright light hit the phone.
"One second I have to stop my daughters from burning the couch." Yelled Jade, "Dad, I need your help teaching these crazy children how not to burn things up."
"Darling you live in hell." Hades laughed.
"I know that captain obvious. That doesn't mean our furniture needs to be burned." She groaned.
Jade's FaceTime went black and Ava started to panic.
"I don't know what to do?" Asked Ava.
"Sweetie, I know you are not my daughter but I consider you mine in a way. I will be there in 10 minutes to come to the meeting with you. How are you going to the meeting without your husband finding out." Whispers Hades.
"What don't you want me to find out?" Asked Tyler.
Ava jumped squealing in surprise.
"Don't scare me like that." Yelled Ava.
"What are you hiding from me." Demanded Tyler.
Hades went silent and then said, "I'll go and let you two talk real quick just remember I'll be there in 10 minutes."
Hades hung up and Ava turned to Tyler her face pale as a ghost.
"The man on the phone blackmailed me he knew about your condition and how you got your food. I don't know what he wants but I am going to meet him at 11 pm tonight. Don't worry I am not going alone Hades is coming with me and so is Jade's husband. The reason I don't want you to come is that I know that you'll go all zombie on him for threatening me." Explained Ava.
Tyler stood there silent and nodded saying, " I know you were afraid of how I would react to the taste of fresh brain. I won't come but please at least be on the phone with me so I know what's going on. I don't want to be sitting home while you're in danger I don't like feeling helpless." Explained Tyler.
Ava walked over to him giving him the biggest hug she could. The doorbell rang and Tyler went to go answer it.
"Is it Hades?" Asked Ava.
No answer. Ava's senses told her that something bad was about to happen. Before she knew it a bright light hit her and everything went black.
Hades arrived at the house in disarray. He found Tyler on the ground unconscious. He pressed the panic button on the wall in seconds hundreds of demon guards arrived at the house.
"Take Tyler to the infirmary and get the hellhounds. Find the person scent who is responsible for this and find them before the meeting. We only have five hours to find her." Yelled Hades.
The hounds soon appeared and went searching for the scent. It didn't take them long to find it, but it only led them to the backyard and then vanished.
"How can a scent just vanish?" asked one of the guards.
"It can only do that if the person has teleportation powers. So the person responsible is either a witch, warlock, demon, or fairy. That narrows it down but also gives us a lot of suspects." Groaned Hades.
"Doesn't she have a phone can't we just track it?" Suggested Jade.
Hades jumped in surprise and said, " How long have you been here?"
She laughed and responded, "I just got here."
Jade showed them the phone in her hand saying, "The phone was left behind. I also tried a tracking spell and that didn't work. That narrows down the field of suspects. Fairies and demons don't know how to do a block tracking spell. So it leaves only two possibilities witches and warlocks. At least now we know what we are looking for."
Everyone looked hopeful until the phone rang. Jade answered it mimicking Ava's voice.
"Hello, who is this?" Asked Jade.
"The person who has your sister." Laughed Damien, "so if you want to see your sister alive come to the abandoned warehouse in 30 minutes."
She hung up the phone and flew to the place he said.
