School was over for the day.Bella and Angie dragged themselves out exhausted from learning

" how does Ms. Becca bear to teach one no one listens. It's all so boring. Constantly yapping about electrons and protons. What are those anyway?" a bored expression dancing on her face.

"I thought I neglected school but you are way overboard babe" She smiled brightly. The kids from school had left way too early leaving Angie and Bella yo enjoy the Warm afternoon as they walked casually back home.Angie wasn't going home though.She never went back until she was sure her dad had gone to bed.

She always hated the man since the day he had savagely trashed her mother after intoxicating himself with a few shots.The monster her parents had tried to tame for the sake of her and her siblings was unleashed upon their household.He would rage constantly about the tiniest things going berserk with a little ignition of his temper, striking at anyone within range. She would rather stay at Bella's to avoid him.

Don stood in front of Bella's house ,his hands in his pocket to hide his unsteady fingers.

without a word, Angie went inside giving the duo privacy

"sorry to bother you " He mumbled the words hesitantly

"I did promise you a day with me" Bella sighed

"Am sure you heard of my upcoming birthday and I would really like you to be there. " his eyes pleading "please"

She stepped onto the stairs" I can't.Parties isn't my thing anyway" she went in shutting the door behind her.

Angie's phone buzzed twice. One look at her could tell that Don had messaged her.

" the guy wants you at his party you should at least do that much for him"

Gulping down a bottle of water to soothe her inflamed throat, she answered bluntly "NO"

Her feet hurried upstairs straight to the bathroom.The cold water raining down on her gently eased her mind. She felt at peace with herself after all of the turbulent activities at school.Nothing would ruin her peace as long as she stayed away from the world that threatened to pull her to the ground.

Angie had prepared quite a spread. Bread and butter with hot thick cocoa, grilled salmon at the side with a chilled bottle of cola to soothe her nerves. Bella was already in a black strapless night gown. Hopping into bed, she tubed in to her favourite channel to watch an anime as the two munched on the goodies.

"grnnnnnng" her phone vibrated.

A text from Don popped in.

"Please spend tenth October with me. I promise I would be the last time I ever speak to you. Please"

She could already hear his voice ringing in her head as he pleaded. Every muscle in her body screamed against it but Angie's ever so convincing tongue whispered a try it out to her. An angry growl escaped from her throat while her fingers tapped on her keyboard.

" don't make me regret this"

Angie squeeled in sweet delight rolling on the bed like a puppy that got a treat for good behaviour.

Bella groaned heavily lying her back on the bed with a heavy thud.

Bella stood under the shower letting g the water drench her before she ran out,quickly wore a black T-shirt with a pair of black skin tight jeans. She draped a shawl around her neck and hurried out as her father thundered over her lateness.Not that she was mate any way but he had an old habit of keeping to time and he was hell bent on passing on that trait to her.

She flung the door wide open with so much force that she smack right into the guy In front of it.

"Don" She called his name while trying to find a tissue in her bag pack " what are you doing here? you should be on your way to school. Its too early for most of you anyways"

She dabbed at his bleeding nose as he winced in pain now and then. " next time you would at least call before you show up at my doorsteps "

"is that meant to be your appology" he joked, taking the tissue from her to give it a good wipe.

She shoved him out of the way proceeding hurriedly towards the main street." are you coming or not?"

He smiled and ran towards her "thought you would never ask"

He hid his fingers in his pocket as usual.

Her eyes shot straight at his pocket "you've got quite the habit. Why are you nervous?"

" I get nervous around pretty girls" He flirted but her reaction did not tally as he had planned.Her eyes shot daggers at him."sorry my bad but on a serious note I get super nervous with people. Especially those that are not really comfortable with me."

She averted his gaze as if to hide the pang of guilt that swept over her." Don" She hesitated. It was her turn to hide her fingers in her pocket. She bit her lower lips, head faced down.

He stood briefly watching her but in the next second, he exploded with laughter. "Why are you nervous now"

" it isn't funny" Bella stared sternly at him but he only grew more amused. She stormed out leaving him to clown himself out.

She even looks cute when she is mad.I can clearly picture her as a chibi. So adorable!! I really do love her. Wish her heart felt the same.

The laughter filtered out from him and then his face turned gloomy. Bella had turned around after he had stopped his clown display. He stood motionless as the wind blew softly giving her goosebumps."hey psycho. This isn't the time for you to space out okay. School starts in an hour dummy" She yelled. His face brightened up when her voice wheezed into his ears.He ran towards her once more with a big pure smile.
