The First Kill

**FLASHBACK**

[IN THE FISHERS PACK]

"Marie, I love this game."

"I love it too, that is why I want you close. And close." Marie said to her friend cheekily.

"I told Kenny about what you said."

Marina smiled, "now, now. You did what Chandy?"

They were in Alpha Fisher's office, Chandy skipped across the room, and went to Marina. "I told Kenny."

Marina's eyebrows furrowed, she couldn't believe her friend did the one thing she asked her not to. How could she? She bent and said to Chandy, "I have another idea. Follow me."

Chandy didn't think anything bad was about to happen. She didn't even feel Marina's hand trembling on her back.

The kid was happy. Soon, she will see Marina's bedroom again, and then go and tell Kenny. Oh, if only she knew she was going to meet her death, she would have told Marina that she was okay where they were.

Marina pushed her slightly into her chamber. Chandy looked around in awe. Every time, she reacted that way. "Sit," Marina said.

Chandy jumped on the bed still looking around.

Marina opened the door, she glanced right then left. The coast was clear. She returned to her chamber closing it behind her. "Chandy, you said you did what?" Marina asked, approaching Chandy in a calculative step.

Chandy shrugged, "I told Kenny."

She climbed onto the bed and lifted her pillowcase with her left hand. She slowly said to Chandy, "you betrayed me. You went behind my back, you told him what I asked you not to? Why did you do that? Why?"

Again, Chandy didn't think much into it. She answered softly, "because she is our best friend."

"But I asked you not to. It was our little secret. Me and you, alone. You chose him over me, didn't you?"

After Chandy heard that, she stopped glancing around. Her eyes fell on Marina's face, "Marina, why are you looking at me like that?"

"I want an answer."

"I already told you," Chandy said studying Marina's face.

In one swift motion, Marina pulled her hand out from under the pillow. She had a knife in it. Chandy gulped and before her mind registered what was happening, Marina stuck the knife directly into her heart.

"Mmmmh. Nice shot." Marina thought.

A sadistic smirk sat on her face as she stared at Chandy's lifeless body.

Marina rubbed her left ear itchy ear with her clean hand and thought, "kinda sloppy but all good."

She went and cleaned up while singing her favorite song. Ironically, she sang the one song Chandy heard her sing when they first met. She finished showering and headed back to her chamber. A knock came on the door.

She stared at the body on the bed and then at the door.

"Sweet pie, it is daddy."

"Dad. Give. Me. One. Minute." Marina replied.

She wore the same clothes she wore earlier and then walked to the door. She swung it open and thanked the moon goddess when she saw her father was alone.

"Daddy," Marina called out.

Alpha Fisher seemed alerted, "what is it pie?"

"Come," Marina said and pulled her father into the chamber.

His eyes first fell on the body on the bed. Entirely by instinct, he kicked the door with his right foot and bent down in front of Marina. "Pie, what happened?"

Marina's eyes shot at the lock and then at her father.

Alpha Fisher, again, didn't think. He stretched his hand and locked the door. "Da-d. I, uh-m" Marina stammered. Alpha Fisher picked her up and placed her on the bedroom bench. He went to Chandy's side and picked and then felt for a pulse. He felt nothing.

Alpha Fisher stooped low and placed his head on the girl's chest. There was no heartbeat.

"Da-d, is she de-a-d?" Asked Marina.

Alpha Fisher rushed back to his daughter and took her tiny hands to his, and for the first time, he noticed no blood on them. A thought occurred to him, "it is not her. She is clean, she couldn't have killed her using her legs or whatever. What am I thinking?"

"Marina, I want you to tell me, when I left you in my office, did anyone bring you here and force you to wear these clothes?" Alpha Fisher asked.

He held his breath. Hoping that was what had happened. Yes, it was murder. A murder inside his pack, under his alpha ship, but he wanted what he has asked to be true.

"Da-ddy," Marina called, her voice breaking. Alpha Fisher pulled her into a hug.

"We will find who did this, sshh." Alpha Fisher said and rubbed his daughter's back.

Alpha Fisher listened to his daughter's heartbeat. It was steady unlike what he was expecting. Why hadn't he thought of that earlier? He untangled himself from the hug, picked Marina's hands to his, and said slowly, "pie, did you happen to see who did this?"

Marina pulled her hands slowly, "dad, it was me."

Alpha Fisher gasped. "What?"

"It was an accident?" Marina said, looking at Chandy's body on the bed.

Alpha Fisher stood, one question in his mind, "was that a question?"

"Call mother," Marina said after getting bored from staring at her father walking back and forth inside her chamber for thirty minutes.

Alpha Fisher stared at his daughter while sending a message to his mate, [Come to Marina's chamber, alone.]

Three minutes later, they heard a knock on her door. Marina strode slowly to the door and opened it. She locked the door and then leaned on it.

Luna Audra rushed to Chandy's lifeless body and shook her. "Dead?" She mumbled.

[Dead.] Alpha Fisher replied.

Luna Audra's eyes landed on her daughter's dress, she rushed to her and asked the same thing as her mate did. Marina glanced at her father who was staring at her. "It was an accident?" Alpha Fisher repeated Marina's word.

"Accident, how, who?" Luna Audra asked with a trembling tone.

"Marina." "Me." Both Alpha Fisher and Marina answered at the same time.

Vigorously, Luna Audra shook her head as she whispered the same words, over and over.

"No. No. No. Our daughter is not a murderer."
