[RINZLER]
"That is your uncle and your beta, Savannah. You better apologize later, I never taught you to be this rude." Alpha Aspen reprimanded. "Now, Rinzler, what is going on?"
"Dad, it is nothing, I am fine. Can I take a shower now?" Rinzler tried to stand again.
Leaning on his daughter's shoulder, Alpha Aspen lowly responded, "of course. Talk to me when you are ready." Alpha Fisher
"Dad, I am leaving for Fishers Pack, is it okay if we talk later?"
"No, I don't remember anyone in your mom's family fainting, maybe it is starting with you. Why haven't I ever taken you to the hospital?" He raked his hair. "Right, we are supernaturals, sleep. The Fishers Pack isn't going anywhere. We don't need you to faint in the middle of Lake Rimaria."
Realization hit him, "did you row here, alone knowing well you can faint in the middle of the lake?"
Rinzler remained silent.
Sighing, "fine, talk to me after you have rested. Savannah, help me up and cover your brother so he won't get cold."
As Alpha Aspen left the room, Alpha Rinzler felt guilty, he was stressing his father more than he had realized. Savannah pushed him under the sheets, and whispered, "are you sure you can stay by yourself? The sun is almost up, I can stay with you as we wait for the doctor."
"Sis, it is okay. I said I am okay, and I meant it." Rinzler was lying and Savannah could see it. His eyes roamed her face, and the smile on his face dropped, "now you are overbearing."
Sadness swept her face, and her lips twitched, "I will come back later, brother."
Rinzler watched her sister walk to the door with her shoulder slouched. He called out, "Sav, I am sorry."
"Sure."
Jumping out of the bed, he went to the door and listened if anyone was approaching. Hearing nothing, he skipped into the bathroom, showered, and picked the map from the floor, he spread it all over the bed and looked at it, unable to focus, he apologized, "brother, I am sorry, I will look for you later."
He wore a leather jacket, picked a key to another one of his boats, and headed to the door. "Aaah!" He screamed when he came face to face with five pairs of eyes.
Savannah, Alpha Aspen, Beta Tetra, Pepper, and the nurse, Patty had their eyes narrowed at him. "Care to explain the meaning of you people not knowing boundaries?"
"I must check on you." Nurse Patty said.
He couldn't fight them, they were adamant about his health. Twenty minutes later, nurse Patty announced he was only running a fever and that a few herbs would help. A little bit of sleep too. He left immediately with Pepper.
"Can I ask?" Rinzler began after a few minutes of silence. "Why was Pepper the cook here?"
"Rinzler, I can see you are hell-bent on heading to the pack. I have spoken to Chief Ayn and she has said things aren't going well, so you can leave under one condition." Alpha Aspen spoke.
Rinzler raised an eyebrow.
"With Savannah."
"No, dad," Rinzler said. Today, he had a plan to really tell Marina, no matter how difficult it would
be.
"I guess I will have to knock you down." Alpha Aspen said with finality.
"Dad, I..."
Beta Tetra cut him off, "I will take care of the pack."
"Uncle, really? Come on..."
Alpha Aspen slammed his hand on the table, making Savannah move to him and ask if he was okay, he said, "if you don't want to go with Savannah, I will."
"Fine, I will leave with Savannah." Rinzler didn't want his father to head into the chaos in the Fishers Pack and hear what the pack members were saying about his best friend.
They all agreed, went to the alpha's office, and spoke for around thirty meetings regarding the pack and how many would attend the funeral, all along, Alpha Rinzler was busy tapping his legs with his hands. "What funeral?" He pondered. "There is no funeral, I need to go, now."
"Okay, the pack is only sad about Alpha Fisher's death, the kids still have their studies, and the warriors are training a little bit. There is nothing more. We are safe, there is nothing more to handle. Since all of you see me as a loser, I will handle nothing because there is nothing." Beta Tetra spoke sarcastically.
They stared.
Beta Tetra threw his hands up, "fine then. I will ensure the pack is still standing by the time you are back." Beta Tetra said, showing his perfect white teeth.
"Was he always like this?" "Do you ever take anything seriously?" "That is my beta." The three of them spoke simultaneously.
Chuckling, "you are funny. Haha." Beta Tetra rose and pushed his niece and nephew out of the office and to the shore of Lake Rimaria.
"I will be okay, don't look at me like that." Beta Tetra said and lost his focus on something in front of him.
The sun was rising, its light beautifully glistening on the water. As if on cue, they all turned to the rising sun, and the warmth hit their faces. Again, they turned and looked at the water. It was calm, beautiful, and mesmerizing.
For a moment, each one of them felt complete.
Rinzler forgot his shitty problems.
Savannah pushed away all her worries.
Beta Tetra didn't see himself as a failure, both as an uncle and a beta.
Unluckily, the moment was cut short when a small wave washed their feet, "uncle, in
case of anything, call me." Said Rinzler.
"I will." Beta Tetra snatched the boat keys from Rinzler and gave them to Savannah. He helped them get into the boat, pushed it into the water, and waved while promising, "I got this. How hard is it to lead a pack with less than a thousand wolves?"
They waved at him and Savannah started the engine. Not far away from the Mountain Pack's shore, Savannah gasped, "shoot, I forgot to tell you, someone by the name of Ivy called, she said you should call back immediately, it was urgent."
Rinzler's heart skipped a bit, "when was that?"
"The moment your faint ass hit the pillow."
"Shit!" He cussed.
"Oh, and Cecil."
"Savannah, what the actual fuck?" He dipped his fingers to get his phone from his pocket and dialed the women's numbers, immediately his mind went to Marina.
What worried him the most was that his wolf jolted up too, screaming, "she is in danger, she is in danger." Although he could hear some hint of exaggeration, he knew there must be something happening or had already happened for Ivy and Cecil to call.
He couldn't remember the last time Ivy called him.
They didn't pick. He inhaled deeply, thinking about what to do. "can you go faster." He urged Savannah. He dialed Marina's number, the phone rang and no one picked up. He kept calling until it was picked up. "Marina, are you okay?"

"Oh boy, you never learn, Mr simper." Savannah mockingly mumbled.
