The Lycans of Osborne (4)

It was a strange thing for Rose to have experienced lycans attacking out of nowhere. The kingdom of Averon were aware of their existence, but it was obvious that the packs of Lycans mostly kept to themselves.

If they did not settle in one place, they were simply nomadic people who lived from one place and another.

Sure, they were also keenly aggressive on their perceived territory–but they were not actively resentful and attacked individuals they encountered.

That was the reason why Rose initially went out of the manor.

She wanted to hold a conversation with the leader and asked why they were in the grounds of the Blackwell manor–but then it became quite clear that they were hostile.

It didn't also help that Rose also got to see what Lord Blackwell meant by the Blood Void at the doorsteps.

Numerous Lycans who attempted to push forward into the manor died–their voices so haunting in Rose's ears that it took great effort to ignore things.
