"But… I don't think I can replace your father." I repeated the line again.
"I heard you the first time already!" Keira said red-faced.
"Well, you were so quiet that I had to make sure that you did." I shrugged and then smirked. "This one is a little hard of hearing compared to someone such as yourself."
It made sense that a young lycan would discover that I was friends with her father and then attribute the qualities to me.
However, there was another thought that I chose to omit for the exact reasons why Keira was making that face right now.
The look of disappointment written on her face made me chuckle.
"Y-You're so frustrating!" Keira shouted and then stomped back towards the manor.
I resisted the urge to sigh and rubbed my face instead.
As lovely as Keira was… I would rather not hit on someone's daughter that I knew. Not out of genuine respect to Kael or anything, but simply because I found it weird.
