Well, crap.
I glanced in Keira's direction and noticed her seriously cute pout expression. Of course, she had made a point. Several ones in fact that were actually aligned with what I was feeling towards them–whether about the kiss, this Huntress or about Rose and Eleanor.
And yet in all of my presence as the great and esteemed Vampire Lord… wasn't it always better to embellish the truth by a little.
"While it is true that they smell and are human–it does not take away the fact that they're my Blood Servants. However, I am not so willing to part with my blood and then allow them to benefit from it, right away."
"Huh." Keira looked at me in confusion.
