The ambition

"No way!" Roared the old man. He then lowered his voice and began in a stern voice, "I know that I am too soft hearted and hate to see people in pain but I have to harden my heart for the sake of my ambition, doctor. I cannot let my emotions to rule my actions. I have to punish him for his mistakes so that he won't repeat them. This incident would also set an example for others to be more vigilant while handling their future tasks."

"U…. Understood sir. I am sorry for disregarding your thoughtfulness." The doctor stuttered.

"It's alright doc. No need to feel remorseful. I know that you were only thinking for the child. I am glad that you were brave enough to put forth your inner thoughts. I don't know why most of my men like to held back their words as if I would eat them alive if they ever share their thoughts with me. Tell me doc, Do I look like a dictator to me?" the old man turned towards the doctor in all his seriousness.
