Grandma Harvey-1

"Enough" Grandma's deadpan voice stopped Elliot from speaking at once.

It was as if someone had dumped a bucket of cold water on him and all his excitement was replaced by anxiety in an instant. He did not want the girl he loved to be hated by his grandma. Both held important positions in his life. He dreaded that his grandma would condemn Rain so he blabbered before she could continue her words, "Don't blame her grandma. It's not her fault. She was completely unaware of this decision of mine. And also, it's me who is in love with her. She hasn't even accepted my proposal yet. She is a nice girl. Really. If you don't believe me then…."

"Stop! Why are you defending her so much when I haven't said a thing yet." Grandma Harvey's face turned a shade colder.

Elliot stiffened. 'Have I just increased grandma's despise for my baby? Shit! I should have shut my mouth just now.'
