Very pissed!

The late afternoon sun bathed the hotel room in a warm, golden glow as Chris slowly stirred awake. He felt muddleheaded for a moment and rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the grogginess that enveloped him. Then, as his memory returned, disappointment washed over him like a crashing wave. Sky was gone.

Maybe he had been wrong the first time, but now, he was sure that the boy was nowhere in this luxury room. He could feel it in his spirit.

However, he still glanced around the room, searching for any trace of him. But the silence was deafening. The TV, once filled with the cheerful sounds of cartoons, was now dark and lifeless. Sky had left, and Chris couldn't help but feel hurt by his sudden departure, even though he shouldn't.

He looked out the window that Sky had opened, frowning in confusion, before he searched around for his phone to check the time. It was already past 5 p.m., much to his surprise.

Just how long had he slept?
