Nick & Kyle

Liz and Jill gave the store a questioning gaze as they got closer. "Isn't that the store you got that chesse cake?"

"Yeah, it is. The store seems to have survived... Despite the attempts to get in." Jill stopped in front of the store and looked past the damaged glass to see it was the same as the first time she saw it.

Bell looked over at the store as well, scanning it with her eyes, and noticed the open sign with a small scribble under it, saying to knock on the glass to get their attention. "Should we see if they're serving Miss Jill?"

"We can check this out after this." Jill commented as she started to push Liz over glass, causing it to shatter under the wheels.

Liz grimaced at the unsettling noise it made. "This is so unnerving."

As the minutes ticked only accompanied by the sound cracking glass that echoed through the street. "We're not going to get ambushed, right?"

Liz started drumming her fingers and looking around nervously.

"Mistress, please calm yourself." Bell cut her off with her flat tone as she tugged the tied up people that she was leading with a rope.

"Do you know how much further it is, Jill?"

Jill thought for a moment, remembering a detail. "They said they would have a sign put up."

"Like that, Miss Jill?" Bell pointed out a large sign standing in the middle of the road.

[Relief & Law Station 57 Here] was written on it with arrows underneath both leading to a lit up doors.

Liz calmed down at the sight and then looked even worse than before. "We forgot about Melody!"

"Oh, you're right! Bell, can you go get Melody and the mask after we drop them off, please? She has a harness hanging at the end of the hallway, and she'll let you put it on if you give her a treat." Jill pleaded to Bell.

"Of course miss Jill." Bell nodded as they walked into the building labeled law.

"Jill! What are you doing here!?" An officer in full swat gear called out to them as soon as they entered.

Jill stared at the officer as they waited for a response. "Why do you know my name?"

The officer fumbled with the straps on his chin and took off his helmet, showing a man with honey brown undercut hair, golden Irises, and features that made him look like a pretty boy. "It's me, Kyle!"

Jill blinked and glanced to Bell, sprinting back the way they came. "Oh, it's just you, Kyle. Why are you in that?"

"We never know when we'll get shot at, so we never go out of cover without it!" Kyle thumped his chest, showing off the armor and putting his helmet back on.

Jill nodded and looked over to another person sitting next to him in the same garb. "Who is that?"

Kyle patted the person on the back. "This is my buddy Nate. Don't mind him. He gets nervous around beautiful women."

Liz scratched her arms at the bubbly words. "We're here to turn people in."

Nate was about to punch Kyle but stopped at Liz's words. "You're here to turn people in?"

Jill nodded as she stared at Liz and pulled the guns out of her pockets by the barrel. "They broke in and tried to threaten us with these."

Kyle gasped before and mumbled to himself. "Yeah, you would be able to turn the tables, Jill."

Nate walked over and took them and examined them as he walked over to a wall that had cubbies. Each one had a plastic tub with a lid. "Are they loaded?"

"The pistol isn't, but the revolver is." Jill responded as she stuck close to Liz and stopped from scratching her arm further.

Nate gingerly pulled a plastic tub out from a cubbie, took the magazine out of the pistol , pulled the receiver back, and then looked in before placing everything in the tub.

Nate flipped the cylinder open and dumped the rounds into the tub, but he picked up a casing that didn't have a bullet in it. "It's still warm. Did they shoot it, or did you?"

Jill was focused on Liz but replied none the less. "They did, but they hit the wrong thing."

Nate put the revolver in the tub and put a lid on the tub before sliding it in a slot in the wall that closed as his hands left it. "Kyle, check to see if they're some of the escapees."

Kyle pulled a tablet out with a search engine and brought it up to Tux's wrist. *Beeeep*

Kyle looked at the tablet screen and did the same to the two others, and grumbled. "Yeah, all three of them... Thank god they went after you and not someone who couldn't defend themselves."

Nate looked at the tablet over Kyle's shoulder and turned to them, his expression was covered by the helmet, but his voice showed how he felt. "Disgusting."

Liz ignored their words and squeezed Jill's hand. "Should we ask about the door now?"

Jill sighed and turned to Kyle. "Kyle, do you know where we can get a new door?"

Kyle lowered his tablet. "Why do you need a new door?"

Jill went on to explain what happened as Kyle's frowned at the story. "Yeah, it's annoying since we have no idea where to get a new one in this situation."

Kyle looked around as he thought. "...Go ask Liam for that. He runs the food part. He'll probably help, but if he doesn't, just say you're my friend, and I'll nag him until he does."

Jill chuckled and gave him a smile. "Thank you, Kyle. After this whole lockdown thing, I pay you back."

Kyle turned his head to the side and coughed. "Don't worry about it."

Kyle stared at the convoluted knot the men were tied up with and grimaced. "This is going to take a while for me to undo without cutting it. Do you want that rope intact?"

Jill nodded as she walked over. "I'll help with that. It was really hard to get that kind of thing nowadays."

Jill and Kyle switched out the rope for their restraints metal handcuffs that were kept together with magnets and cables as Bell came back with Melody in her arms with a purple harness.

Nate stared at Bell, giving Liz Melody, who started meowing at her. "Can I ask you something, Miss?"

Bell turned her head to him. "What is it, sir?"

"Who are you? Jill only lives with Elizabeth on record." Nate said plainly as he gazed at Bell's blank expression.

Bell turned to Liz. "I am Mistresses artificial maid. Bell is what my Mistress named me."

Nate gave her an unsure look and pulled up a different search engine. "Alright then, serial number. please, if you don't mind? Just so I can confirm not to doubt you, of course."

Liz tried to remember it, but Bell spoke for her. "NJ-MFP-PAC-70."

Nate typed it in, and a picture of Bell showed up saying that she belonged to Elizabeth Pine, and she was a grade 3 artificial and turned to her as he gasped under his helmet. "Thanks for your cooperation..."

Jill grabbed on to Liz's wheelchair. "Let's hurry up and get the food!"

Kyle stared at Bell as they left and put his helmet back on as he turned to Nate. "What's wrong?"

Nate showed the tablet with the info on it. "The maid is a artificial, grade 3..."

"Shit, why would they have a grade three artificial?! She's practically human!" Kyle yelled as he read the tablet.

Nate agreed as he dragged Tux and the man in the hoodie through a door that led to a room full of barred cells with small screens next to each. "Yeah, it really sucks for Bell? I believe her name was Bell."

Kyle followed Nate with Tank top and pressed a button on his left arm that made the cell closest to them pop open. "Makes me wonder why Hazengale ruled that she could be dismantled at the drop of a hat."

Nate went next to a cell and the two in. "I think it has to do with the fear of them self-replicating or having malicious intentions."

Kyle scoffed as he pushed tank top in and pushed the button again, making the close. "That's like killing someone for having the possibility of killing people or children."

Nate walked back to their stations that they were seated at. "Hazengale and most other sectors have always been against artificials since they were named that."

Kyle clicked his tongue as he changed topics. "I should probably give Liam a heads up to not flirt with those three."

Nate tilted his head at the statement. "Why? He's always acting like a playboy, Despite it, he's a nice kid, I don't think he would get in trouble."

"Jill might punch him if he tries to flirt with her sister." Kyle said as a slipped what looked like a metal box out of his breastpocket.

Nate chuckled. "She wouldn't punch a cop... Right?"

As if answering his question, the metal box in Kyle's hand screeched to life, and a distressed teenager's voice came through it. "Kyyyllle, who did you send over? They hit me!?"
