"Wait Merlin. Did you see that? Someone snapped our picture." Ervin stopped, pulling him back along.

"It's fine Ervin, this isn't our reality anyway."

"What happened with your mum and dad?"

"Fuck them. Let's just go please." Merlin tugged on his arm urging to move and Ervin complied. "Did something happen? God I have never seen you this angry Merlin, you are scaring me."

"Ervin I can't be around this place anymore than I have to. Let's get away from here and I will tell you." Ervin didn't ask anymore questions after that.

"I hate them so much. So fucking much." Merlin was saying when they were at a distance and waiting for the cab.

"What happened, Merlin? Are you okay?" Ervin asked. Merlin was enraged absolutely out of order in his head. His ears were still buzzing with everything his father had said. He wanted to claw his ears off.

"I— I am so sorry I brought you here. It was a terrible idea. These parents of mine are assholes."
