CH 20 ~ "Lie"

Rennie smriked as she not only dodged the bullet but also got her feet on the ground again, leaving Dark speechless.

"Your shooting skills aren't bad, but to me... It's nothing,"

"I don't know how good my skills are, but i do know that if you fail to catch up with me, You're going to lose!"

Alex spoke to Prince, who was now standing beneath the staircase; where he almost reached the metal door that they need to bang on for win.

"...Not so easy,"

Rennie murmured as she shot at Dark and chase after him to stop him from winning.

Bang, Bang!

"You caught up quickly, Not bad!"

Alex spoke as he dodged the bullets shot by Prince but didn't stopped on his tracks.

Rennie become stunt as her wrist was suddenly caught by dark, and he came closer.

"I am getting more and more curious of..."

Alex's hands reached out to remove her eye mask as he spoke with a smrik, which made Rennie feel nervous.

"The true identity of 'Prince'..."

"Leader of the Darknight, Are you sure that you aren't interested in mens?"

Rennie spoke as she raised her legs to kick him and Dark bented down to dodge it.

"Did i hit a nerve or something else, Prince?"

"That was a good tactic but too bad, Reverse psychology doesn't works on me!"

Prince shot on Dark again to make him move back and farther from the gate.

"You should care about yourself more, Dark;"

"No need for 'Prince' to concern for me,"

Dark spoke as he tried to catch up to Prince and shot on him, who was about to bang on the door.

Where, Prince dodged the bullet by grabbing a long metal chain and got away from the staircase.

"Thank you for handing over the victory to me!"

Dark spoke as he stood infront of the metal gate, an inch away from his victory.

"You shouldn't be too confident untill the last moment!"

Rennie let go of the metal chain as she kicked on the metal gate before Alex could touch it.

As her move was too fast, Alex become dumbfounded before he gritted his teeth because of his lose.

"Damn it!"

'I almost got it,'

"You lose, Dark;"

Rennie smriked as she spoke, happy to see Dark clenching his fist tightly as he lost to her.

"I'll keep my words. I got someone to release Justin. If you don't believe, then try to contract him."

"I don't wish to take advantage of you either, since you released my people; I'll get someone to send over the munitions again."

Rennie suggested as she didn't wish to owe people or get a chance for other's to talk bad about her organisation.

"Looks like Prince isn't cold blooded like the rumours says at all..."

Alex spoke as he extended his hands towards Prince to handshake.

"Don't try to make friends with us. You belong to an organization known for being upright, but i am not. We're just working together for buisness."

"We won't even hesitate to harm you if we ever get an offer to do that."

Rennie spoke coldly as she turned around and left the Darknight's secret base with Chris without looking back.

'Why do i feel like he is Rennie, even though this is absolutely impossible?'

Alex thought as he felt mixed feelings after Prince rejected his offer to handshake.

'...It's time to get home,'

On the other hand, Rennie stood infront of their villa, which was completely dark as the lights was turned off.

She had to change back her clothes and remove the wig and voice changer, before she returned home, which made her come home late.

'If he asks why am late, how should i explain it?'

Rennie thought as she hold the doorknob but didn't entered the house.

'It's not that i don't wish to let him know about my real identity. But this is a little special. One more person knowing it means more risk.'

'There are a lot of people hoping me to die. What will i do if my identity gets exposed and he gets in danger because of me?'

'I can protect him once or twice, but i may not do this for the rest of his life. What if i am in bind one day?'

'Haizz... Forget it, it's better to find a way to get divorce and better that he doesn't know it.'

Rennie sighed as she pushed open the door and instantly, the whole villa brighten up.

"It's three in the morning, Ren... Where were you?"

Alex asked with a cold voice as his face was completely dark.

'Even i reached home before midnight... I was so surprised to not find her at home!'

"I had works to do..."

"In the company?"

Alex asked as he got up from the sofa and approached Rennie dangerously.

"I went to your company, Ren... You was not there;"

Rennie looked at Alex, who was towering at her with a cold look in her eyes.

"Do i need to report everything to you now?"

"No, You don't have to- but..."

Alex paused on his words aa he forced Rennie to step back till her back was against the door and he trapped her between his arms.

"I have the rights to know where my wife was... And what works she had, which made her come home so late."

"I was with my friends... And, Do you ever tell me or explain when you come back late?!"

"But you know my locations all the time, don't you?"

Rennie couldn't speak as what he said was truth.

She could reach him anytime she wanted except some special circumstances, but he would inform her earlier on everytime.

'I can't get angry... It will only worsen our already messed up relationship even more...'

Alex tried to calm down as he spoke gently to her and moved away a little to decrease the tension he put on her earlier.

"Forget it, i was just concerned about you... Please inform me if you ever get late again. I will pick you up,"

"Don't make me worry again, Ren."

Alex's lips lifted up a little as he pulled her in his embrace to hug her tightly, and Rennie let him do it as she felt guilty for lying.

'Ren... I can tolerate the fact that you lied to me. As long as you don't leave me, I'm fine with anything,'
