Chapter 3: Scared but our heart is filled with rage
The night has fallen, its dark everywhere but still the flames of burning humans is still as big as it was before.
*Horse Footsteps*
A large group with swords on their waist and clothes made up of leather are moving towards the village that no longer has a single soul alive.
Soon they all reached the village and saw a mountain of bodies being burned down, the smell around the whole village was unbearable for few people but still everyone stayed there.
The group slowed down their horse as they saw the flames covering the dead bodies, they all were speechless at the scene in front of their eyes.
A young man, Li Xieren, said "This is truly horrifying" as he sees bodies being burned
The man in the front, Liang Bo, there leader, tells the young man "This is just the beginning my young soldier, when you will reach the battlefield against the Demonic Martial Art users, you will see way worse than this"
Liang Bo, is the Detachment Officer who is sent here to check the situation after various reports came in from the people that crossed the path through this village in the morning time.
He and his group were ordered to check the village and see if he can find some clue related to the Demonic Martial Art users.
But after coming here and seeing the village condition, it's clear that there is nothing that could be useful.
"Soldiers, get to work!
Find anything that could lead us to those Son of a Bitc**s who did this to our people!
But before you do anything, extinguish that damn flame!
NOW!"
"Yes SIR!!!!"
Everyone got off their horses and followed the command of Liang Bo
They first put the flames off and then started finding any clue related to the Demonic Martial Art users.
An hour passed by and soldiers have turned the whole dead village upside down, but still they didn't find anything that could help them find Demonic Martial Art users
All soldiers gathered around there leader, Detachment Officer Liang Bo and gave their report
"One more time, we couldn't find anything that could help us find those bitches
Damn it!" Liang Bo said in anger as this is not the first time since such incident took place
He is angry but still, he calms his anger and asks his soldier if they have found any person that is alive but all soldiers replied the same thing
"No one is alive"
They also added, "All the foods, farmer equipment's and clothes, everything is alright and there are houses who still have their money all safe"
This just made many soldiers angrier and also terrified about the Demonic Martial Art users as they have killed literally everyone in the village for no reason.
Liang Bo takes a deep breath and looks at his soldiers who are scared of Demonic Martial Art users, but also enraged by the fact that the innocent people have been killed for no reason
And that too, in the most horrible way possible
He asks them "Are you all scared? Or angry?"
"We are scared Sir, there is no denying it
The way those Demonic Martial Art users killed our people is truly horrific, but more than fear… it's the rage that is shaking my hands and making me desire to kill them at any cost"
Liang Bo smiled, he then said "Do not worry, we will get our hands on them and when that time comes, we will make there death more horrible than this
Till that time, hold your anger inside your heart as it will help you in the long run, especially when we will face them"
He then looked at the dead village and said "This village used to be called as Meihar, it was a normal village but still it was the only place where people lived with a smile even though the whole world has been turned upside down since the Demonic Martial Art users have shown themselves
Even though it's a small village, the heart of every single person that lived here was way bigger than the skies…
No matter how many times I came to this place as a soldier, or as a simple man who is tired of works, they always welcomed me with an open arm.
The village chief was from the Fan Family, he was a good friend of mine but… I won't be able to see him anymore
Soldiers!
Gather all dead bodies and make sure you pay a proper burial to them!
They are our people, give respect to each and every dead person!
Understand?"
"YES SIR!!!"
"Then get to work"
Liang Bo gave his orders and his soldiers followed it, it took some time and the whole sky is filled with stars.
Who knew that giving a proper burial to the village people would have taken so much time, but none of the soldiers or Liang Bo have any regret about their actions as they did what was right
After the burial, the young man, Li Xieren came to Liang Bo's side and asks "Sir, what will we do about the food and all other resources left in the village?"
Liang Bo took a few seconds to think and then he said "Gather everything, the money and food will be sent to the capital as that needs to be put inside the royal treasury
As for the utensils and other equipment's, we will sell them and keep the money safe for the future use."
After tell his thoughts, he asks Li Xieren "Are you shocked by todays experience?"
Li Xieren gave a bitter smile and replied, "Yes Sir, I was shocked to see the mountain of dead bodies, it was my first time to see something like this"
Liang Bo smiles and tells him, "I know that the north, from where you came, is quit a peaceful place so I know that it will take some time for you settle in the army, especially considering your age, 20, but let me make one thing clear to you Li Xieren…
You are a soldier now and things like today, will be a normal thing in the future and if you are a burden to me or the group
I will kick you out of this group, make you transfer back to the position you came from
So, try to firm you heart for such future as it's not gonna be an easy ride"
"I know Sir, I will try my best and won't be a burden on you all" Li Xieren replied with a nod
Liang Bo nods and so he orders soldiers to get ready as they will now move travel back to their city.

Inside the forest-
