The soldiers didn't reply but they had already guessed it.
"They want to find a chance to kill my family." Suddenly, Moona spoke from behind.
Alex turned around and she continued "My father's wealth is almost equal to his wealth. And, the strength is equal as well. Recently, my father has been gathering people to revolt against him because of his unfair rules."
"That's why he wants me dead so that my father will wage a war before he could convince more people."
Moona clenched her fists and bit her lips. Her family was in incredible danger at this moment. Suddenly, Alex slapped her head.
"Ouch!"
Moona cried out in pain but since he didn't use a lot of strength, she didn't fall. In fact, the effect of 'Strength of the Hundred Boar' was already down.
"Why did you hit me?" Moona looked at him with teary eyes and asked.
"You idiot! Why were you using your own mana for the conjuring spells? The only reason I asked you to fight them was that you had Conjuring Spells."
"Both of you were at the same rank. If you had only used the conjuring spells properly, you would've fought against them for a long time without any worries of losing mana." Alex scolded her.
"But….. I was only at the 3rd Tier. Even if we were at the same rank, how can I fight them?" Moona almost cried as she spoke.
"Hah! You are going to be the first student of Celestial Sun Academy. If you can't even face these weaklings, how can you face the strongest geniuses of other races? Humph! From now on, I will personally train you."
"Your training will be the most hellish training." Alex spoke with a sharp expression.
Hearing his words, Moona suddenly realized something. Her eyes widened as she asked, "That means I am part of your academy now?"
"Isn't that obvious?" Alex rolled his eyes and then turned his head at the soldiers who were surprisingly not attacking him.
"Go away and tell that chief of yours. Moona is now a part of Celestial Sun Academy. Her family is under my protection."
Hearing his words, the soldiers' expressions turned ugly. They held their swords and unsheathed them.
"No matter who are you, we will complete our task." The soldier whose blade was broken used his mana to condense a sword. Behind him, everyone else did the same.
Seeing this, Moona clenched her fists and released her mana but Alex patted her shoulder and said.
"Let me borrow some of your mana!"
"Gluttony"
Alex's hand released a powerful suction that pulled out her mana. Gluttony was only one step behind the forbidden spell. It was one of the best spells that can instantly suck anyone's mana as long as they don't reject it.
Naturally, Moona wasn't rejecting him so he was able to absorb her mana with ease. And, he didn't absorb a lot from her. Normally, this spell could be detrimental to her if he had absorbed all of her mana.
When he received mana inside his body, Alex raised his finger and walked a few steps ahead of her.
"Watch! This is how you use fireball!"
Alex released his mana into the tip of his finger, slowly transforming it into flames. In his past life, his main magic was 'Strengthening'. But, he had good control over a multitude of different elements.
The fire was probably his strongest fortitude after Strengthening. When a finger-sized ball of flame appeared above his finger, those soldiers laughed.
"Hahaha! Is that your attack?"
"We were seriously scared for nothing."
"That puny attack won't even scratch my balls."
"Tch! And, here I thought you...…"
After a few seconds, their laughter suddenly calmed down. The mana released by him was incredibly small which made the fireball small but after a few seconds, the fireball over his finger started growing bigger and bigger.
At this moment, Alex loudly spoke.
"Moona, this is your first lesson, so listen carefully. There are always two kinds of spells from the beginning of time. These two kinds were Conjuring and Augmentation."
"Conjuring Spells are those kinds of spell that only requires your mana as the core. Mana has been surrounding us for thousands of years and whenever we release spells, the mana generally gets stored in the surrounding."
"Mana can't be destroyed but it can be transformed. This is the iron-clad law of Mana. That's why we must use mana from the surroundings if we use the Conjuring Spells."
"Augmentation Spells are those kinds of spell that taps mana into your own body. Unlike Conjuring Spells, it balances mana with the physical powers that allow you to generate the equal amount of damage that a normal conjuring spell can create."
"This is how you use the Basic Fireball Spell."
At this moment, a fireball that was nearly the size of fifty footballs combined was above his finger. He raised his finger slightly and pushed the fireball toward the soldiers who were on the verge of running away.
Alex didn't care why they stayed for so long instead of running away. He simply threw the fireball at them.
Boom!
The moment the fireball touched them, it exploded. The flames burst out spreading around wildly. The people on the street ran away. The range of the impact spread out wide but the flames didn't even reach Alex.
As the flames slowly got extinguished, the burned bodies of the soldiers appeared on the ground. Their armor was fine but the flames had burned any exposed skin.
Alex turned around and spoke, "Do you understand what you saw?"
Moona had her mouth wide open. Only when she heard his words, she woke up from her fantasy and shook her head.
"Hah! This is going to be hard but for now, let's go to your home. I will explain it properly." Alex sighed. He truly didn't know how he was going to help her get stronger.
But, he needed someone to spread the fame of his academy. He couldn't simply go around the town, searching for talents. He had to spread the knowledge about his academy first.
"Yes!" Moona hurriedly led him to her house. On the way, she asked.
"Should I call you dean or teacher?"
Alex thought for a moment and said "Since you are my first student, you will be directly under me so call me teacher."
"Yes, teacher!"
"Alright, I will be your teacher and you will need to train under me."
"Yes, teacher!"
Alex sighed after seeing her enthusiasm. He looked toward the sky and thought.
'The world has changed vastly. People don't even know a thing about conjurer and augmentation. Humans have lost a lot of people and territory. I am not even a mage.'
'I need to get everything together. First, I need to start mana training tonight. Second, I need to start hunting Monster Beasts and earning money. I also need to focus on spreading out the fame of the academy to attract more talents.'
'Finally, I need to make Moona stronger.'
Suddenly, his eyes squinted a little as he remembered something. He clenched his fists and thought.
'There is no way I am going to let you live Stone. You are the mess that I left. It is my duty as your teacher to clean that mess.'
