Making friends with the great ones (Edited)

"So," Amy said watching Ella with interest. The blond was pretty talkative in her opinion but she didn't look like one to harbor ill feelings so she kept talking to her. The last thing she needed in her life was to be quoted as a 'gossiper' besides it wasn't as if she was going to talk ill of Stephanie, she would only be saying the truth which was actually in plenty. "You are trying to say that Jeff prefers me over that redhead?" Amy asked as she fought back laughter. The conversation was very amusing to her.

Ella flipped her hair and twisted her body funnily in Amy's eyes. "The thing that impresses me is that she's aware of that."

Amy bit her lips to not grin. She could imagine what could be going in Stephanie's head when she saw her as a threat or was it rival. The poor girl must have suffered a lot until she made up her mind to take a leave and move into the villa. Ptf, that must be why she went missing for days without anyone actually knowing where she went. Must be her desperation to get Jeff's attention, it was so ironic that she was doing everything to get his attention while she was getting the attention she didn't need or wasn't interested in. Wait, was she really not interested in it? Why did she feel giddy, was she happy because Stephanie was being ignored, or was, she happy that Jeff actually preferred her to his girlfriend? But what was that anxiety, the tug she could detect inside her?

"I never really believed that Jeff was ever going to get married leave alone anyone other than Steph," Ella continued. "I guess miracles happen." She smiled widely exposing her white tiny teeth and Amy could see how beautiful she was. Well, Mike's luck.

"I am flattered, my lady," she faked an English accent which she was so pathetic at that Ella and her, ended up laughing their hearts out.

Ella also tried using the English accent but her attempt wasn't as awful as Amy's. "I think I'll need a bottle of water." They both laughed at that.

Clapping of hands stopped their little fun world. And when they turned, they met Mike, Oliver, and Jeff. One was smiling foolishly, another one was ever neutral, and another one looked… like himself, expressionless.

"Wow, you've met my cheerful Ella already, that was fast," Mike said as he moved swiftly to embrace Ella.

Amy moved aside a bit to make room for the lovers. Shrugging she answered Mike. "She's easy to get along with."

The men exchanged looks and she narrowed her eyes, was there something she didn't know? "Well as you say so, but Steph never really got along with her."

She choked on a scoff, was that wonder to them? She murmured. "She never really gets along with anyone." Then, she remembered something. "Ohm, Jeff, I am leaving the party." she crossed her fingers anxiously, sometimes his words could be her verdict.

Jeff took a few short strides and towered over her, his face was passive, his lips on a thin line and his eyes as sharp as a hawk, it was hard to say what mood he was in or what he was reacting to, and she was like was this his new way of intimidating her? "Why do you want to do so?"

Seriously, was he so thick-headed? "Ohm, dah," she snapped her fingers on his face. "Like serious bro, your girlfriend is here, why do you want me to be the laughingstock of the party and nation? What am I supposed to do, watch you two hang around?"

Jeff shut his eyes and pinched the skin between his brows. These women were one day going to kill him. "Look, I don't know why you want to leave, you could stay here for instance." For some reason he didn't even know himself he wasn't anxious to part with her but his wife would have none of that.

"Look, I have somewhere to be, some business to attend to, if you don't mind, I will be gone now. And," she crossed her fingers. "I won't be home for two weeks, I think."

Jeff simply lost it. What, she wouldn't be home for two whole weeks? Her leaving on the other side of the mansion was enough to make him feel lonely and lost, and here she was asking for two weeks, one, two. No, he couldn't live that way. "Okay," he said though it sounded like a question more than an answer.

He said yes. She blinked to confirm she wasn't thinking of her things. "Okay, I'll be gone." She skipped away grinning and left the rest looking at Jeff waiting for a reaction, for as much as they knew him agreeing that way, wasn't a good sign.

Jeff dipped his hand in his pocket and reached for his phone and called Mark immediately. "I want every detail of where my wife is going to, who she is meeting, and what she is doing. Now!!" His voice was calmly dangerous and low. Everyone who knew him knew that he was angry and really angry.
