Chapter 6: Let's just all be friends

I woke up to the sounds of the rooster croaking. Surprisingly I slept very well maybe I'll be back in my own bed. I looked around in hope. This hope was instantly crushed... I had not gone back home... I was still in this stupid place... Looking at Damian I realised that I never had the opportunity to share a bed with anyone expect for mama and papa. But I was too young to remember it. It's quite cramp in here... I gently sat up and noticed that Damian was still sleeping... His baby face looked kind of cute. When I read the novel I always had to imagine the scene but now I get to experience them myself. I wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing....

10 minutes later Damian gently stirred as he opened his eyes curiously for a minute but they went back to being dull. He too sat up and I asked "Did I wake you up?". He shook his head as I immediately pushed Damian's head under the cover. Luckily we were quick enough because a second later the door slammed open and the matron was screaming at the top of her lungs... "WAKE UP!" I glanced at her and sleepily yawned to give the impression I had just woken up and not like 30 minutes ago...

She glanced at me and said "Well your awake early..." and she left the room just like that... Everyone in the room hurriedly got up and made the bed quickly so that the matron would not be able to find fault with us. I hushed Damian out of the room and ordered him to go to the dinning room first. I proceeded to change out of my bed clothes ad placed them on the laundry bin that the matron would collect. I grabbed a t-shit and shorts and clothed myself. "Are you guys done?" the room monitor, Gabby asked. Everyone around us nodded, Gabby proceeded to open the door and we headed to the dinning hall in single file. This feels like being back in primary school and having to line up in silence. As we got nearer to the dining room we could hear the distinctive chatter. The door opened and chatter dimmed, everyone turned there eyes towards the door to see me, Tiffany, Maddy and Cara standing at the door. The rest of the girls in our dorm headed over to the kitchen and stood at the door watching everyone gazing at us. How long has it been since I had someone's attention on me? Ahhh. I looked around and spotted Damian sitting near the corner of the Hall.

Just at that moment someone pushed us all away. "Ouch!" I shouted as Cara helped me out. I fell to the ground hands first so I twisted my hand. "Are you ok?" Tiffany asked as I nodded. My hands sting but I've had my fair share of twisting my hand. "Watch your way Dylan," Mandy threatened as they all proceeded to push Dylan's lackies. "Hey hey," I shouted. Must we really resort to violence? Ahhh I really ought to have a word with them. I watched as Damian left his seat and walked up to me. "Are you ok?" he asked in concern. I nodded because I wasn't feeling any pain now but by tonight my hand would be black and blue. Turning my head back to Cara and the others and noticed that a fight was already starting. Of course Dylan won't let go with the others and on cue the teachers came over and took us away before anything happened. The teachers brought us over to a corner and brought us the food. This corner happened to be the corner Damian was also sitting at. The teachers led Dylan on the opposite side however I could feel that he was still glaring at me.

After breakfast we were ordered to go to our lesson and I followed the others as well. What's with this crappy room? Even in the modern world however poor you are the classroom shouldn't be as bad as this. It was a black board and there was some chalks on the side however there wasn't a single table or chair for us to sit on. Everyone sat on the floor and the whole room was filled with kids for the age of 10 and below. So all the juniors were in the same room learning the same thing. Come on I haven't learn this stuff for years. This is just basic arithmetic and basic Usari the most common language spoken in Thedo. The language was hard it self but surprisingly I picked it up quite quickly even when I never learnt it.

The day ended very quickly with lunch right after the morning lesson and then u playing in the playground. This is so boring. When is Camilla's brother coming to find her? I don't think I can stand here. Oh right I need to talk to the other about us all. "Guys can't we just stop bullying people and jus all be friends?" I asked. Cara glanced at me and asked "Anna are you still having a fever?" I shook my head. Mandy gave me that 'why' face and I replied saying "Well I almost died so maybe God gave me a second chance to be a kind person," most of this was pure waffling but it makes sense in there eyes. I could see that there eyes was glowing. "Anna your too kind," Tiffany explained as I laughed. "We'll try," they promised as I nodded my head in satisfaction. At least they are willing to try.
