Chapter 59: No clues left:

Meanwhile, as Camilla was talking with her mum, this was the conversation going on with the Grand Duke and His Majesty:

Written In Grand Duke's POV:

When we entered the palace, I noticed that Camilla seemed very nervous which was why I gave her a lot of encouraging comments. When we entered the room to see His and Her Majesty. I realised that Camilla greeted His and Her Majesty really well, as if she had always known about higher-class etiquette. Before we left I did see Lexi teaching Camilla how to greet them. But she did it too confidently. Even the way she was wearing heels. She was perfectly fine on the walk to the palace. But why did she fall down so quickly at the beginning? Does that mean that she learns things really quickly? That's a good thing, I suppose.

I left after greeting His and Her Majesty. Her lady waiting led me to a side room where she offered tea and biscuits for me to have. She then left. I poured myself some tea and grabbed some biscuits. I was having some lovely wine however I was very curious about what was happening in the other room. But knowing Leonard he'll definitely tell me when he gets here. I was sipping my second glass of wine when Leonard came in shouting my name, almost making me spill my glass of wine.

"Your Majesty, what're you doing?" I asked putting down my cup of wine and pouring him some. "Leonard," he insisted whilst grabbing the wine cup I handed him. I signed and asked him what happened. "I'm pissed. How come you and Camilla are already calling you Uncle when you guys have only known each other for a few days," he explained as I busted out laughing. "Omg, you're still so childish," I laughed as he glared at me. "Why? Why?" he cried as I continued laughing.

"Let's talk about the important stuff first," Leonard muttered in a serious tone as I stopped laughing. "Ok? So what did you find out?" Leonard asked whilst he walked over to the window. I walked up to the window and began to explain "The orphanage that Camilla was found in isn't a nice place. All the kids there were either stolen or missing children. I've ordered my people to send them all home. For the ones who haven't found their parents or are actual orphans I made them go into the palace and work as the palace is hiring. Also, I've investigated the guys behind this orphanage. It seems to be related to Duke Wilson Kaden,".

"That old, sly fox. I finally have the information to cancel him. I didn't actually believe he would abduct children though. I thought his reputation and family name meant everything to him. Also, why did he abduct these children?" exclaimed Leonard as I nodded "We are working on that. But it seems that every month there would be a number of children entering and leaving. There isn't a child older than 10 there," I remarked. "Camilla, is 10 this year right? And the other guy you adopted what was his name again?" replied Leonard. "Yes, Camilla is 10 this year, so lucky that we found her in the nick of time. And the guy I adopted is Damian. I adopted him because he looks like Katherine,". "It's been 10 years since she died right? Time surely does fly," muttered Leonard as I nodded. I can't believe it's been a century already. Time sure flies quickly.

"I'll deal with that sly fox. What about the assassination attempts on Camilla?" Leonard asked whilst I nodded. "Although the guy died we checked his body and found poison in his body. It seems to be a poison that needs to take medicine every month to deal with it. Also, we found a tattoo of a black bird on his back. To be precise it's a raven," I explained my analysis as I watched Leonard's face fall. "Is it the Ravens?" he asked me quietly. "I'm not sure. But didn't you say you wiped them all out?" I uttered whilst he signed "I thought I did. But looks like I didn't". "I'll continue to look into it. Don't worry. This time, I'll make sure no one gets harmed. I don't want to see another person die because of them," I vouched as he nodded.

"Also, during the assassination attempts I noticed that Her Highness seemed to have awakened her power," I muttered. "Oh? That's a good thing," he uttered. "Yeah, I suppose. But the thing is, it doesn't seem to be firepower. It was more like water," I added as I watched closely at Leonard's expression. His face turned a bit darker shade and whispered "Just like the prophecy," as I nodded. I poured Leonard and myself some more wine and we continued sipping it.

We continued to talk about some lightweight stuff however we both knew that at the back of our minds is the fact that Raven's tattoo has still not disappeared and about the prophecy...

We returned back to the other room and what we saw shocked us. Well, Leonard mostly. He looked so bitterly jealous. It was so amusing to see.
