Chapter 63: If you like someone... (1):

"Though, I'm quite curious about what my brothers are like," I announced as Lexi's face lit up. "This question, I do know the answer to it," muttered Lexi "The first prince is known as the gentle prince because he's really sweet and kind. He'll become a brilliant King in the future. The second prince is known as the warrior prince. This is because he doesn't really enjoy studying instead he prefers to be on the training grounds sparring with one of the guards in the palace. Lastly, the third prince he is known as the sick and free prince because he doesn't care for anything. I mean I suppose it must be hard for him to have two excellent brothers on top of him. But I just feel like he never does things to the best of his abilities, Also, he's known as the sick prince because he's been sick since childhood,".

"Do you like my third brother?" I asked as Lexi blushed and quickly denied it. "You can't deny it. If you like someone you will often find yourself paying a lot of attention to them. Are you not paying a lot of attention to my third brother? I like you. You can definitely be my sister-in-law," I explained as Lexi blushed even harder when hearing my last sentence. "Who wants to be your sister-in-law? Besides he doesn't even know me," signed Lexi. "Seriously, is being my sister-in-law such a bad thing for you? Tut tut. Anyhow if you always come to the palace city to find me then you'll obviously be able to see him," I retorted as Damian laughed at both of us.

In the future, Lexi and Prince William Andrew Avery will end up together actually. After a lot of obstacles. In the original book, Prince William's illness ends up getting cured by a saintess from the temple. Hence, Prince William thought of her as his lifesaver. So he would always treat her kindly. This did not sit well with Lexi. And at that time she had just gotten the news that her father died. In a day she lost her father, her only family. And the person she hated the most, was the one who inherited her family name. So she wanted to murder the girl. However, she didn't get a chance to. The saintess died already. Prince William thought it was Lexi so they broke off the engagement. When the truth was revealed, the saintess died of suicide because the guy she liked ran off with a different girl, Prince Will was feeling as if his world had dropped. He broke off the engagement with his fiancé because he believed she killed his saviour. A bit stupid right?

Before it was Lexi who was chasing after Prince Will but now it was the other way. Lexi wanted to forgive herself but she couldn't bring herself to. The two only reconciled after Camilla left. Camilla had asked to speak to Prince Will before she got exiled and she helped them get back together. I suppose in the whole novel this was the only good thing she had ever done. It shows how much she valued her friendship with Lexi.

"Lexi, if you really like my brother go for it," I encouraged "Don't wait any longer, otherwise you might regret it. My third brother might fall in love with someone else in the meantime. If you truly like someone you should always like him the way he is no matter if his bad habits are really stupid. But I suggest you to not get into an abusive relationship though," I explained whilst drinking more tea.

I feel like I shouldn't be saying these words to a 10 year old but girls in this era have to choose a finance by the age of 13. Girls are expected to have an engagement by the age of 13 yet boys could wait until they were of age. Maybe I could change Lexi and William's ending?
