Chapter 77: Wine Cellar:

"Your Highness," the guards greeted me as I walked in. I nodded my head at them in reply. After I walked a few steps I heard the guards greeting Prince William. I stopped and waited for him to walk up to me. "Brother," I greeted as he muttered a curt hello. Well, even the book said he was kind of the cold type of person. However, I don't mind. As long as he doesn't bother me, it's okay what he does.

"Camilla, are you adjusting well to your palace?" he asked as I looked at him in confusion. Did he start a conversation with me? I never thought he would. "Well, it would take some time to get used to but I'm sure it's going to be ok," I replied after serious consideration. "I'm glad you're back," he mumbled quietly. I noticed that his ears were a little red. How cute.

"Let us head inside," he gestured as I nodded. In the hallway, we were having a pretty lovely conversation. Just to get to know each other better. I found out he likes to draw and he found out I prefer to spend my days doing fencing, well I used to. He didn't ask how or why I knew about fencing thankfully.

As the maids opened the door all eyes turned to focus on our arrival. "Greetings Grandmother, Father, Mother and Brandon" I greeted alongside William. Almost everyone was here apart from Lady Jasmine and her two daughters as well as Prince Christopher. Speak of the devil as soon as this thought came through my brain they all arrived and sat in their respective seat. I sat next to William.

Dinner was quickly served and throughout the meal, no one talked. I believe this was practised by every noble family. They wouldn't talk during a meal unless it was an emergency. The occasional sound was the sound of the cutlery clinking next to each other. Today we were having pork ribs with rice. Quite nicely cooked.

As soon as the dinner was taken away everyone got up and began to walk in the same direction. The book did not mention why this was done. I slightly tugged William's shirt and asked him where we were going. "Every Thursday after dinner we will usually go to the wine cellar and have a drink. We have our own little family gathering," he explained. Well, I didn't know they had things like this here.

We had to go through a trap door on the side of the dinner hall. One of the knights was helping everyone go down. I realised that the passage was quite broad compared to how stories or movies portray it.

As soon as everyone went inside the Cellar the trap door was shut. "After 2 hours the knights will open back up the door. But, we have to spend 2 hours here together as a family. Father uses this place as his stress relief place. In this room, we are not royalty but just a family who got together to enjoy some family time," William explained as he led me to sit on one of the couches. This room practically looks like a modern-day bar. Apart from the fact that it's much bigger and grander.

"Well, can I have some wine?" I asked. In my world, I like having some wine once in a while. "Absolutely not," denied Father as he smiled, "Camilla, you are still underage. Like your brothers, you will only be having juice. You can choose from apple or orange. It's in that cupboard go and get it yourself,". I went up to grab a packet of orange juice. It was quite nice, it had bits in it just like I like it.

I sat back down next to William and Christopher. Christopher and William also got some juice. Father only allowed Brandon to have a little bit of red wine. It wasn't anything strong. As we all sipped our very own juices the conversation began with some light topic about school work and then the conversation turned onto me.

"Camilla, we do have to start on your etiquette lessons and all other study lessons," discussed Mother with Father. Totally ignored me. "I suppose she will have to start on Monday after I have had a word with our private tutors," exclaimed Father as Mother nodded. Looks like in this world I still have to go to lessons. Sigh.
