Chapter 110: Day 1 (4):

And right on cue, a man stepped out calling me the fake Princess for having light blue highlights. And apparently, I had used magic to conceal everyone's eyes. The only reason I was able to be revealed today was because of the holy power in the pool. "Count Analisa you sly old fox, I never realised you could make up such an interesting story," retorted Uncle Robert. "You have forgotten that this was also tried out before however, the artefact was able to detect who was the real princess,"

"Duke Ellis, perhaps this 'Princess' has managed to fool the imperial magician's eyes," uttered Count Analisa. "Count Analisa, are you saying that I'm not smart enough or powerful enough to figure out who is the Princess?" asked Edgar. I haven't seen that man for 2 months. He left the palace city as soon as I was awake to check up on the borders.

"She is the Princess, my daughter. Although I haven't been very healthy over the years but, I'm still able to tell who is my daughter," announced Mother. At this, everyone began to whisper and discuss their belief with one another. "Stop arguing," shouted Father, "She is my daughter, Princess Camilla Rose Avery,". "But your Majesty, her hair says otherwise," Viscount Jo voiced out his disagreement.

"If she didn't have light blue highlights, then that's when we should be worried," announced Grandmother as everyone turned their eyes to look at her. "Queen dowager, what exactly do you mean?" questioned the Prime Minister (Neo Jeonson). My grandmother stood up and mumbled, "As you all know, the royal family hasn't had a single Princess in over centuries, a few generations ago, a royal magician made a prophecy that the princess who would be born in the royal family would process the water powers that has been lost over generations. Today, this prophecy has come true. The blue highlights in her hair represent these water powers. So, she is definitely the Princess of Theodo kingdom, my granddaughter," announced my grandmother as father clapped in agreement.

Nobody said anything afterwards and the procession continued. What was left for the procession was for me to give a speech. I stood up and walked on the stairs towards the balcony. I took a deep breath and walked towards the balcony and smiled whilst waving. Everyone was cheering for me as I looked at the crowd in front of me. Gosh, there were so many people. It makes me a little stage fright. I noticed some reporters standing right in the front of the crowd, they were responsible for recording everything I said. By tomorrow, the whole kingdom would have known what I said.

I took the microphone and began my speech, "On my Eleventh birthday, I welcome the opportunity to speak to all the peoples of the Theodo Kingdom, wherever they live, whatever religion they come from, and whatever language they speak.

Let me begin by saying 'thank you' to all the thousands of kind people who have sent me goodwill messages. This is a happy day for me; but it is also one that brings serious thoughts, thoughts of life looming ahead with all its challenges and with all its opportunity. At such a time it is a great help to know that many people all around the kingdom are thinking of me and who wish me well.

Although there are none of my father's subjects from the oldest to the youngest whom I do not wish to greet, I am thinking especially today of all the young men and women who were born about the same time as myself and are still growing up in this kingdom.

I hope you all will be the witness as I strive to become the best I possibly can and work for our kingdom together. I declare before you all that my whole life, whether long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.

But I shall not have the strength to carry out this resolution unless you join in it with me, as I now invite you to do: I know your support will be unfailingly given. May the Goddess help me to make good my vow, and may the Goddesses bless all of you who are willing to share in it," I announced. And with that, I curtsied as everyone around me clapped. I turned my head to look at my father as he mouthed "Well done,". I smiled at him happily, I did ask him to check my speech before I said it so I suppose he wasn't too shocked.
