Chapter 50: Summer Plans

A few weeks pass quietly by. Lotusville feels rejuvenated by the chance to embrace the cusp of summer. As families pack their cars for their habitual July trips, others remain at home. Crash sits outside on his front porch. He fiddles with his game station.

Once his character fails, the teen turns off the power. Crash has been playing for two hours and faces growing boredom. 'What to do now?' When school provides structure, there are more opportunities to keep the mind occupied. However, no one wants to solely study.

"A hobby..." Crash repeats the words from his last therapy session. "That's...too vague."

Then again, the teen contemplates the various activities he enjoys. Whether in a book or on the screen, Crash enjoys engaging with stories. Though, the issue that he realizes is--motion.

"I should...go out for a ride," he says with certainty. "That should...help."
