Once Paxton was in the limo and Tennessee was next to him, he finally took a steady breath. He had about a million questions, but first thing was first. He hugged Tennessee and pressed his lips to the man’s neck. He inhaled that scent, the soap, and skin of the man he loved, the fragrance soothed his soul. 


“Yer shakin’.” Tennessee hugged him.


“I’m happy, and scared, and… I can’t believe you’re here. I thought I would never see you again.” Paxton leaned back and met Tennessee’s gray eyes. 


Paxton was about to lean in for a kiss when the door to the limo opened, and Uncle Cletus climbed inside. The man shook his head at them, and Paxton leaned back in his seat. He would kiss Tennessee later. Right now, he wanted to talk to this strange mountain man who just saved him from one of the worst men on the planet.
