As soon as they got downstairs, Rusty helped Cletus board up the window they broke. While they worked, Cletus asked Gareth every detail about what had happened. His uncle piled Gareth with question after question, and mostly Uncle Cletus grunted for a response.


As Gareth told the story, he now got a better look at where they had stayed last night. The main room of the hunting lodge was forest greens, tans, and decorations of trees and deer in the woods. The room made him think about Rusty. Already he was missing the man standing next to him.


“Since ya got a real good look at the cars and the people with Tammy,” Cletus said to Rusty as he trotted to the door. “I think ya need to come home with us. We need that information.”


“Well… I ain’t sure….” Rusty’s eyes flipped to Gareth for a second and then back to Cletus.


“Ya can’t go back to Huck’s huntin’ cabin.”
