Entrance Exam Of Unicorn Academy (2)

"All the students, pay attention. The test will start within 15 minutes and students whose token number are announced will enter within 5 minutes or else you will be failed."

A cold feminine voice announced the start of the test.

After the announcement, students started preparing themselves mentally and physically for the exam. I was excited to see so many students and got myself hyped up.

After 15 minutes, token numbers started announcing and students started going to test rooms. There were 50 testing rooms and after the first announcement, a total of 20 students entered each room.

"Victor, what do you think, how many golems will you take down?"

"I don't know, it will depend on what the level of the golems is?"

Hey!! Isn't that Kevin!?"

Monica said excitedly while pointing at a young blond guy.

"Oh! Yeah, you're right. Let's go say hi to him."

After 5 hours of waiting, my number was announced. Right now, Monica and Kevin are already gone to other rooms for their test. I went in the room where my number announced. And there was a young lady with short black hair waiting for me. I showed my ID and token number to her.

"I am Luna. Now, come with me"

"Yes, Ms. Luna"

She took me to a room where a transparent orb was present. Orb was connected to a machine which is for talent assessment.

"Please place your hand on the orb and send your mana into it."

"Okay"

I did exactly as she said. I placed my hand on the orb and sent my mana into the orb. We both waited for the machine to show my talent assessment, but nothing happened. I again placed my hand and sent my mana, but again it didn't show anything.

"I think the orb isn't working properly."

"Uh, ah Right, please wait a minute."

Luna was also confused as to why the orb is not working. She called someone and after a while, someone with another orb came in. He changed the orb and left without saying anything.

"Please try again."

"Okay."

I placed my hand on the new replaced orb and sent my mana in it. But again nothing happened. The lady also got confused, she has never seen any case in which the machine is not working, so she didn't have any idea as to what was happening.

"Please wait a minute. Let me try it"

When she placed her hands on the orb. The screen on the machine showed 'A' which was her talent assessment. Now, she was even more confused as it has never happened.

She got to the corner of the room and called someone. After the call ended, she returned to where I was.

"Ms. Luna, Why is the talent assessment orb not working?"

"You don't have to worry. It never happened before, so I don't know."

"I see."

"Now onto the rank assessment."

"Okay"

I got to another orb and placed my hand onto it, but unlike before it showed my rank. It showed Rank-E.

"Rank E. Confirmed. Now, onto the next room."

"Okay"

She took me to the next room where there was a crystal-shaped device.

"Now, place your hand and send your mana slowly into the crystal."

"Okay"

I did as she said. I placed my hand and the crystal started glowing. It first glowed black to red to orange to yellow to silver to white. When she saw white color glowing in the crystal, she couldn't believe it.

"Wha... You... I..Impossible. How?"

And while she was in disbelief, the mana purity crystal after glowing white for some time it started getting shades of golden color. The brightness coming from the crystal was so bright, it appeared there was a goddess forming in it. I couldn't open my eyes due to the sheer brightness coming from it.

After I retrieved my hand from the crystal, it stopped glowing and the lady again called someone in a hurry.

After the call ended, a professor from Unicorn academy entered the room. He had gray hair and wore a tight black uniform for professors, he was in his late 70s but didn't look because of his muscles which tells that he is a veteran. He came to me and said.

"Victor Hall, age 16 years, Rank-E, son of Leon hall. Right?"

"Yes"

"Okay, come with me for the next test"

I nodded and followed him into a white room. Turning to me, he said: "I am Glen Dale, vice headmaster of the Unicorn Academy, I was handling this year entrance exam when I heard about you."

After a pause, he asked in his disbelief tone:

"Did you… perhaps eat some rare medicinal herbs to remove mana impurities from your body?"
