Mr Handsome

Ashley stood up to get water. She felt dehydrated because of all the sweat she was losing to these nightmares. She felt that it wasn't ordinary. A normal human being wouldn't be having the same bad dreams over and over again and for a very long period of time. Apart from feeling dehydrated, she felt like she was suffocating in the room, even with the window open. So after drinking water she went into the bathroom and washed her face.

What was she supposed to do to help herself?

She came out of the bathroom and looked at the mattress as if scared to go back to it. After sighing different times she sat down on the chair, and after a while she slept off on it. This time around she had the usual dream she always had and when she woke up the next morning Ashley noticed she didn't seem scared about the dream for the first time since she started having them. She didn't also know if that should be a relief for her or not.

At her workplace, Ashley couldn't get her mind off the first dream she had in the night. The face that came into her view after she touched the man was something she didn't even know how to describe. It scared the hell out of her.

His eyes were glowing red, not just any red but blood red. His face looked white, he had pointed ears, and his fangs were visible and stained with what looked like blood she was too horrified by the view in front of her to take in any more observation on the man or should she say on the creature's face and that was when she screamed and woke up.

She didn't even realize that she become shocked again just remembering how the creature looked.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Natalie asked her noticing the expression on her face.

"Huh… nothing." Ashley replied.

"Don't tell me that. You look like someone who just saw a ghost." Natalie told her.

Did it really show on her face that she was worried about something?

Wait... Ghost?

Could it be a ghost that she actually saw?

What if it was really a ghost? But why would a ghost come in her dream? And was a ghost supposed to have fangs? He looked pretty much like the vampires she watched in movies. This felt like it was only getting worse. No, it was actually getting worse!

"It's nothing." Ashley said again.

"Ashley, you always tell me 'it's nothing' but I know something is bothering you, and you know you can talk to me about it if you want." Natalie told her and she only nodded and smiled.

"You keep a lot of things to yourself Ash, you have to let them out sometime so they don't eat you up."

Ashley only sighed. She couldn't tell her. She was scared that the only friend she had in her life that saw her differently, positively might start to think otherwise of her.

"You also seem troubled alot lately" Natalie continued but that was not new. Why won't she be troubled? She had nightmares all the time and sometimes she felt like she was being watched by someone, even inside her own house. She needed an explanation or solution to all these things disturbing her.

"I will be fine." Ashley assured Natalie. She knew that the lady cared for her. They had been really good friends since Ashley started working at the restaurant. And Ashley felt happy that she got to have a friend after all the years of being despised at the orphanage and living alone after that.

Ashley's boss, Cassandra, was also a kind soul. When the woman had listened to the girl's story, she felt heartbroken for her. How could a young girl have gone through so much, without anyone to even talk to?

She wanted to take her in but Ashley refused that so Cassandra just gave her the job and also tried as much as possible to make Ashley feel comfortable. Ashley was sure that if the woman knew more about her she might not think differently to what others think about her. But she had lasted almost three years working at the restaurant and she was glad because the work helped her alot to take care of herself. She was also more than grateful that she met Natalie. Even though she also limits what she tells Natalie about because of the fear of losing her only friend.

After making her sentence, someone came into the shop. They both looked up and saw a man walk in. He was wearing a black trouser and a black turtle necked long sleeved top and he had a deep blue coat on also. From the way he was dressed and the way he carried himself, he seemed to be somebody rich. The man settled on a chair beside the window and Ashley quickly went to take his order. When she got to him, the man looked up at her and she almost held her breath, because this was going to be the most beautiful face she had ever seen and for a minute she was lost staring at the man's face before he cleared his throat, making her realize she was staring.

"Pardon me sir, may I take your order," she said holding out her small notebook and pen up to take the man's order.

"I'll just have iced tea," he told her.

Even his voice was heavenly, she thought as she walked back to get his order.

"Here's your iced tea sir." She said again after she had served it. The man just looked at it and didn't say anything. Then he stared out the window.

Ashley bowed and left. Could he be waiting for someone? He had never come to their restaurant before. He was also so beautiful. How could any man on Earth be that beautiful? He had piercings on both ears and strands of his Raven black hair fell to the side of his face. He was breathtakingly beautiful. But is beautiful even the right word to use for a man?.

"I've never seen that face before." Natalie commented when Ashley got to where she was.

"Me neither." Ashley replied.

"Could he be waiting for someone? He hasn't even touched his drink yet." Natalie asked.

"Maybe." Ashley shrugged.

Very soon somebody entered the shop. The two girls looked to see the customer and gasped when they saw the lady.

'Where did these beings and their beauty come from?' Ashley thought to herself as she looked at the lady who just took her sit on the other side of the table where the beautiful man that came earlier was sitting.

The woman looked like she was in her late twenties or early thirties. She wore a beautiful long brown gown that swept the floor as she walked and she had a reddish brown hair that looked like it glowed.

Ashley and Natalie were stunned and kept staring.

"Well seems like Mr handsome was really waiting for somebody. I'll go take her order." Natalie said coming out of her trance and walked over to where the customers were seated while Ashley shook her head.
