Can I stay?

"I might be travelling next week," Dee said the minute they entered the car to go back home.

Andre's head shot towards her as he powered his car. "What? To where?"

"Home," She said monotonously, saying it sounding sour on her tongue. If only she could avoid this unnecessary homecoming, still, she knew it won't bored well if she dared it.

"Have you told my father?"

"It should be around my leave period. I don't have to tell him."

Andre seem to think about it, as he didn't say anything for a while that Deandra thought they've dropped the topic until he said. "You have to still tell him, Dee, because Dad doesn't understand the word 'leave'. If you are under his employ, he believes he should see you whenever he wants you."

"Well, that wasn't stated in my contract," Dee said grumpily. He made it sound like she was a slave to his father and not just a contract staff.

Andre huffed, his right hand coming to take hers. "What's the problem? You sound odd."
