The Black Market

The next day early in the morning, Aoki set out for a specific job.

After walking in the streets of Saffron City, he reached a medium-sized building that sold clothes.

The crowd inside the store was not so much which made it easier.

"I will have two blue jeans and a black coat please," Aoki said to the receptionist while showing a black card.

The receptionist nodded and an employee came to Aoki and asked to follow him to the changing room.

'Do you find any surveillance device Darkrai?'

[No, except for the mirror everything is normal. The mirror is enveloped in very dense psychic energy most probably by an elite-level psychic Pokemon.]

Aoki tapped various places on the mirror in a specific pattern and the mirror started to slide down showing a path that led underground.

Aoki put on a black face mask and started walking down the staircase to the underground location. He was going to the black market to get some shopping done.

'Darkrai ,How large of a space can you create right now?'

[Currently, I can create a small dimension around the size of a room]

'Good, that would be helpful now'.

The black card he showed was a membership card from the black market that he got the last time he went there.

As he got to the end of the staircase, he saw a woman smoking on a couch in a dimly lit room.

Beside her was a Hypno who was holding a glass of alcohol.

[This Pokemon has it's signature on the mirror]

It was not Aoki's first time seeing Pokemon drinking alcohol so he didn't give any reaction.

She looked up at him and gestured for him to sit on the couch opposite to her. The Hypno released a bit of his energy on Aoki but he gave no reaction and brushed it off making the woman surprised a bit.

"Good luck out there, " the woman said as Aoki disappeared from his place and got teleported, and reached a different location.

Immediately he felt a lot of eyes on him but he ignored them and walked forward. Not everyone was wearing a mask there.

Each major city had a black market whose location was only known to some people.

There are several people in the city who will teleport a person to the black market.

It is extremely difficult to find the Black market if not affiliated with any criminal organization or shady forces.

A black market is a place where all sorts of things could be bought.

From pokemon that are illegal to sell to pokemon corpses.

This was a place where life was not guaranteed. This place held the bases of many criminal organizations like team rocket and bounty hunters.

The only reason Aoki knows about the way to access the Black market is because of professor Oak. The cheerful Grandpa that everyone loves is completely not what he looks like.

Professor Oak doesn't give a damn about the black market and criminal organizations in the Kanto region. He only cares about his research, his family, and talented trainers and researchers.

He will not care if the Kanto region is controlled by the team rocket as long as he gets his data and his family and Pallet town is safe.

As Aoki walked he saw the traffic of team Rocket members more than usual. He didn't try to snoop around as it was not his problem. After walking for a while he reached a Pokemon shop.

"What do you need sir? " asked a fat man wearing a cap.

"Do you have a Shellder? "

"Yes sir " the fat man took out a sheet of paper that had information about the Shellders available in the store that included the size, age, gender, and rank of the Shellder.

Aoki selected the strongest Shellder which was at quasi-master rank.

The fat man asked Aoki to follow him inside to show him his Pokemon. Aoki walked through the store and saw various Pokemons trapped in cages with restraints.

Some are healthy while some are malnourished.

He reached a room where there was a pool and various shelves of Pokeballs.

The fat man picked up a Pokeball and released a Shellder that was asleep.

"How much for it? "

"250k Pokedollars"

Aoki took the Pokeball and have the man a card for payment. This card was solely created by Aoki for the Black market and had around 1 million Pokedollars.

Currently, he has multiple sources of income. One from Gym battles, one from trainer battles, ranger missions, and lastly researcher alliance.

He also received a lot of money from the sales of King's rock so he has around 4 million Pokedollars in total.

"Do you buy Pokemon? " Aoki asked.

The man nodded to which Aoki presented four great balls.

They contained master-level Dodrio, Machoke, Golbat, and Primape that he caught from the wild while doing deep into their territory.

The man put the Pokeballs in a large device to scan the details .

His eyes lit up seeing the rank and health condition of the Pokemon Aoki wanted to sell

"How much are you willing to pay? " Aoki asked

"350k per Pokemon"

"Don't make a fool of me 650k. They are perfectly healthy Pokemon. " Aoki replied

"Ugg 500k, I can't go further "

" If I can catch four master-rank Pokemons, I can catch more in the future to sell too. Give me 650 k and they are yours to sell "

They argued back and forth for a few minutes before finally settling at 600k.

Aoki asked to deduct the price of Shellder from it. Aoki left the shop with 2.15 million added to his account.

His next stop was a general store where he bought two new camping tents, a Pokeblock machine, and some cooking utensils.

He looked at the address mentioned by professor Oak and brought some of the research tools that he needed for his advanced research.

These machines included an energy-reading device, an advanced temperature detector, a laptop, etc.

Next, he went to the T.M shop. He bought some T.Ms like TM. of Calm mind, Hyper beam, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Sludge bomb, Drain punch, etc for Darkrai which cost him around 500k Pokedollars.

He entered an alleyway and immediately taught Darkrai all of them.

Using Darkrai he could steal but why is he not doing it? because the level of security is absurd in the shops.

In addition to cameras and psychic Pokemon hiding, there are pressure plates everywhere that would ring an alarm if a single item disappeared.
