Indigo League-1

Indigo Plateau :

It was a Sunny day

The excitement of trainers could be felt in the air.

One of the most awaited events that every Pokemon trainer waits for was finally here.

Indigo League was about to begin.

The stadium was full of people from all around the Kanto region and different parts of the world to watch the Pokemon league which would be taking place over the span of a week.

A total of two hundred trainers were participating in this year's conference.

Aside from getting 5 million Pokedollars, Becoming the winner of the Pokemon league had some amazing perks like gaining fame, eligibility to become a gym leader, permission to challenge the elite four, and access to missions that are not available to normal trainers.

Trainers like Sabrina, Alex, Erika and won the Pokemon league in the past to become gym leaders.

Misty's sisters didn't have to win the Pokemon league since they have passed a different league evaluation and generated the largest revenue out of all gyms.

Just like every year, a trainer was given the responsibility to bring the pure flame of Moltres to light the fire of the league to start the event.

Chairman Goodshow gave a short speech welcoming and encouraging trainers.

This year, every trainer was given a watch that displayed their next opponent, date, and time of battle.

There were some rules that were to be followed while participating.

All battles would be one on one showdowns.

Only Pokemon registered in a trainer's name could be used in the battles.

Healing items were not allowed in battle.

Injuring the trainer or killing or critically injuring a Pokemon would be considered a criminal offense with severe consequences.

One referee announces the end of the battle, the decision would not be changed.

Aoki scanned through the hundreds of trainers as he saw some familiar faces like Ash, Gary, Jill, and Zeno from the Youth Cup but his eyes stopped on two trainers.

The first one was a long-haired man around the age of twenty-five who leaked aura.

'He must be Asmodeus.

Chongyun told that his first student was participating in this year'

The second one was a blond hair trainer with a bored expression.

It was Nate, the trainer Aoki fought against in the Junior Cup and the first owner of Aoki's Charizard.

'You feel it Darkrai ?'

[Yes...he reeks of the energy of chaos.]

'From what I got to know from Sabrina, Nate is the son of a criminal organization in Sinnoh infamous and obsessed with Giratina.

Recently I heard the news from Cynthia that they raided and stole some artifacts found in Giratina's temple from a museum.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ginratina had something to do with his current state'

[So what do you plan to do ?] Darkrai asked.

'Ask Yveltal to keep an eye on him for now

Mewtwo is already among the crowd taking the appearance of a human.

We can't let any battle break out here'

Aoki and Misty were directly promoted to the top 8 due to their record in the Youth Cup so there was some time before their matches.

All the matches till the quarter-finals were 3v3 matches so they ended pretty quickly.

Trainers like Jill and Zeno had improved a lot since Aoki last saw them.

Jill's Blastoise and Magmotar and Zeno's Dragonite were performing very well.

Gary to revealing only three of his Pokemon while Ash revealed all his Pokemon.

Asmodeus used Pokemon like Feraliagator, Machamp, and Rhyperior along with the power of aura giving them powers around elite rank.

Finally Nate, a currency he acquired the most fame with his Infernape ending all matches within 5 minutes.

There was something special about his flames as they were white in color.

It was clear to Aoki that those flames were the result of the energy of chaos.

Just like aura, chaos gave Nate powers to boost the ability of his Pokemon and give them different abilities.

His Infernape was at peak elite stage but with the energy of chaos, he fought like a champion rank Pokemon.

Nate's control over the energy of chaos was amazing making so Aoki concluded that he acquired that power for a while.

Although Nate didn't critically injure any Pokemon, the sadistic smile on his face as he watched his opponent's expression of loss said a lot about him.

He didn't change a bit since the last time Aoki saw him.

Today was the 5th day and the day to decide the pairing of the top 8.

Aoki let out Charizard as he watched Nate defeat another trainer within five minutes.

Infernape looked through the entire stadium as his eyes stopped on Charizard as both of them stared daggers at each other.

Infernape recognized Charizard from his eyes.

Aoki and Nate made eye contact as the camera focused on both of them.

"Ladies and gentlemen here we have the famous professor Aoki Gunhildr who won the Youth Cup and Nate who reached the top 8 with just one Pokemon.

Both of them were participants in the Junior Cup which took place a year ago.

Although Professor Gunhildr won the last time, let's see if this time Nate manages to turn the table" the announcer finished as the top 8 trainers participating in the quarter-finals were revealed to everyone.

Aoki Gunhildr vs Jill

Ash Ketchum vs Nate

Gary Oak vs Misty Williams

Asmodeus vs Zeno
