Uldor, Gorstag, and Tobias stood in front of the door that protected the secret of the antidote storage. The room was heavily protected by guards who were experienced in combat. Tension gripped the air, for they knew that behind this door, the hope for saving the city lay.
Tobias tried to outwit them, he stepped forward. "Do you know who I am? I am Deputy General Tobias, and I was ordered to retrieve the antidote in this room."
The group of soldiers laughed and one approached. "What antidote are you talking about?" he said with a mocking face.
The offended Tobias immediately took his sword and quickly slashed the head of the soldier standing before him.
The other soldiers were shocked, and soon they were shouting at Tobias.
Tobias looked at his comrades seriously, his face filled with determination. "We have to face these guards. They won't just let us in."
Gorstag, who held his sledgehammer firmly, nodded in agreement. "I like your style."
Uldor shook his head. "I didn't expect this deputy general to be as crazy as Gorstag."
They moved forward, facing guards ready for battle. The drawn swords shivered in the dim light of the torches. Fighting soon broke out, with rapid attacks from both sides. Uldor and Gorstag nimbly tried to distract the guards with skillful movements and attacks, while Tobias focused his attention on finding opportunities to get an antidote.
Uldor shouted, "Gorstag, to the right!"
Gorstag nodded and replied, "No need to be so damn bossy!"
Their careful cooperation allowed them to herd the guards in opposite directions, breaking their focus and coordination. Meanwhile, Tobias darted forward beating the soldier in front of him then after he managed to break through he saw that there were more rooms in this room. He began to explore the dark hallways, searching for the door to the storage room.
Tobias spoke to himself, "Where is the door?"
His steps were careful down the dark hallway, and finally, he found the door he was looking for. Slowly, he tried to open it. The door opened softly, revealing a storage room containing the much sought-after antidote.
Tobias whispered to himself, "This is it..."
Tobias' sharp gaze fell on a small table hidden in a dark corner of the room. On the table, neatly arranged were several small bottles containing the much-needed antidote. His heart skipped a beat, and he felt the tension wash over him, realizing how vital this discovery was in such a precarious situation.
Tobias said, "This is what we're looking for."
With careful movements, she grabbed several bottles, placing them carefully in her bag. Each bottle he kept was a piece of the key that might be able to stop this deadly plague.
Meanwhile, the fierce battle between Uldor, Gorstag, and the guards continued to rage. They fought frantically, dodging enemy attacks, and occasionally unleashing brutal counterpunches. Sweat poured from their bodies, but their determination to obtain the antidote made them tireless.
Uldor shouted, "Tobias, hurry! We can't hold out much longer!"
Tobias heard Uldor's cry and moved quickly towards the door. However, when he was about to reach it, one of the guards managed to attack him suddenly. With quick reflexes, Tobias managed to dodge the attack, though he ended up falling to the floor.
Tobias shouted, "Damn it, you lowly soldier dares to go against your leader!"
Uldor and Gorstag remained focused on the fight, even though they realized that their friend was in danger. They had to finish this fight as quickly as possible to save Tobias.
Uldor dodged the guards' attacks and said, "Gorstag, we need to end this!"
Gorstag nodded firmly. "Agreed! Follow me!"
The two of them collaborated nicely, confusing the increasingly tired guards. In an instant, they managed to take down the guards one by one, until only the last guard remained.
Uldor faced the last guard carefully. "This is the end of this fight."
Gorstag, raising his great hammer, added, "We don't want to kill you, but you must die."
The last guard was about to scream, but before he could do so, a huge hammer came down on his head.
Uldor and Gorstag then examined Tobias. Although he looked scuffed, there were no serious injuries.
Tobias, standing up with difficulty, said, "I'm fine, thank you."
"Let's go to the post," Uldor said.
"We'll have to sneak around, there are guards at every outpost," said Tobias.
"We'll sneak in quietly," said Uldor. Then he turned to Gorstag. "Remember, when sneaking, don't be rash and barbaric or their lives will be at stake."
"Alright, alright," grumbled Gorstag.
Everyone realized that they had to return to the city with this antidote immediately. Time was precious, and the lives of many people depended on them.
They stepped out of the storage room with hope. Although the battle had been grueling, they knew that they had overcome one major obstacle in their mission to save the city from the deadly plague.
Tobias, Uldor, and Gorstag moved quickly to the evacuation centers with worried hearts. They knew that the city officials' plan to wipe out the plague-infected people tomorrow night was cruel, but they did not expect it to come so soon.
They walked through the winding city. They tried to walk as fast as possible towards the refugee camps but stopped when they saw a horrifying sight. Silhouetted soldiers could be seen from inside the tents raising their swords, ready to finish off the helpless plague victims.
Tobias was in a panic. "No! This can't be happening! We must stop them!"
Uldor was seen swallowing his saliva with a gasp.
Gorstag looked furious shouting, "We can't let this happen! We must hurry."
Tobias, Uldor, and Gorstag ran towards the tents, but unfortunately, they were too late.
Gorstag with a trembling voice, "Too late... we're too late..."
Tobias sorrowfully wanted to shout, but couldn't, his lips trembled violently
Uldor was silent, holding his anger.
They watched in despair as the soldiers completed their tasks coldly, dispassionately, as if they were simply carrying out orders without moral consideration.
Terrible screams rang out from every tent, and the silhouettes of moving soldiers stabbed at the helpless plague victims without mercy. They were too late.
