Third person POV.
In a dimly lit room, four men were so engaged in a serious conversation making the air tense and barely comfortable but the men doesn't seem to notice"Brother, are you sure she's the one?"Lucas said with a serious face.
Seeing that he won't talk,he continued"I just don't want to see you get broken again brother"he said with a sigh.
"You need to forget about her, she had left a decade ago. Are you sure, you'll be able to find her. I mean millions of people have the same faces but not the same character"Ezekiel spoke out but Ryan still remained quiet.
Alex could not take it anymore, apart from being the sensible one, there was limit.
"Stop this crazy obsession, will you?. She's gone forever, stop dwelling on the past and move on"he yelled.
"Enough!"The voice made the three of them to sit back on their chairs"It's my life, isn't it?. I didn't let you here to teach me on how to live my life. Leave now!"Ryan said calmly, his face not showing any emotion of any kind.
The three of them glared at Ryan before standing up utterly defeated when the door opened.
Joanna entered with a tray containing a cup of coffee.
"Sister Joanna, can you make a coffee for me too please?"Lucas said with a peevish grin.
Joanna froze,it took her almost half an hour before she could figure out how to make a coffee.
She smiled akwardly at Lucas"Please don't say no".
Caving in, she said"Okay"she dropped the coffee on Ryan table and turned to make Lucas's coffee"Erm..erm"Ryan coughed lightly.
"Yes master"Joanna said.
"I like my coffee to have two cubes of sugar not three"he said with a nonchalant look.
"Master, should i take out the third cube?"she said and approached the cup to take out the sugar with the spoon.
"The sugar has dissolved,it won't be the same. Make a new one"Joanna mouth twitched in dissatisfaction.
She grumpily took the cup"Make one for me too sister Joanna"Lucas shouted at her.
"If i don't get it in seven minutes, the consequences won't be nice"Ryan said with a smile.
"Brother"Lucas said whining like a baby but Ryan didn't even take another look at gim to"Why are you still here?"he asked.
After they had left, Joanna came back with a new cup of coffee.
Ryan tasted it"Too cold, make another one"She clenched her teeth grinding them against each other.
Why does it feel like he's punishing her for something she doesn't know of.
She went back to the kitchen and made a new cup of coffee, went back to his office and dropped it.
He took a sip of the coffee and nodded approvedly making Joanna heave a heavy breath of relief.
"But am full, take it away"he went back to working on his laptop.
All Joanna could see was red as she glared at him in anger, took the coffee and went downstairs.
She dropped the tray by the counter, washed it and turned to go back to her room when she bumped into someone.
"Alex"she said in surprise.
"Hey"he said briefly and turned to make a coffee for himself.
She couldn't help but feel that Alex hates her.
Can't the men in this house be normal?.
She turned around to leave"Don't you remember anything?"she paused hearing the question, she pursed her lips,a look of confusion crossed over her features as she tilted her head contemplating.
"Remember what?"she asked.
"Nevermind"he waved his hand, drank his coffee in one go before brushing pass her to go upstairs.
