Chapter Twenty two_ Amelia (1)

Anne's POV.

"Am going on an outing, would you like to come?"Master asked.

Why was he being nice to me?

I don't think even want to know,all i know is that i don't want to go outside and start hearing the marriage between Mason and Rose.

I shook my head after much thinking,a big frown settled on his face"Why?"he looked confused and am sure that no one has ever refused him especially not a maid.

"If people see me with you, it'd probably tarnish the image you've built up and if your image gets tarnish,you may get fired and won't be able to pay my salary. It's better you go with someone else"

My answer was pretty believable right?.

I stared nervously at him,he clenched his fists"Do you think that I'd want to be seen with you?,i wanted you to come as my maid and serve me and my date. Afterall some well known families are going to be there".

One moment he was nice and the next extremely rude. Bringing me back to my status has finally changed my mind and i couldn't afford to refuse.

I nodded and he strode to the door, went out and slammed it. I could still smell his natural musk in the room,it was heavenly.

I wish i could go under his shirt and feel him,i wonder how those rocking abs looks like and how it feels like.

Good gracious,Anne get a grip on yourself.

He's your master and who knows a playboy who uses girls.

You can't afford to get broken again.

Cautioning myself,i dressed in my normal uniform and went downstairs.

The trio were already eating.

I chuckled,they really don't joke with their stomachs.

"Good morning,aunty Joanna. What happened yesterday,after following brother upstairs,we didn't sight you all day"Lucas said with a mischievous smirk. I glared at him"Oh yeah,i was tired so i went upstairs to rest and didn't expect to sleep all day"I said with a faint smile.

I entered the kitchen and made toast and eggs with a coffee.

I sat on the dining table and the silence was akward and weird. No one spoke and just stared at their food.

"Aunty Joanna, do you like Older brother?"Ezekiel asked out of the blue and i noticed that Alex seemed interested in the topic.

Although he wasn't staring at us,his ears twitched and he inched closer to my side.

I scoffed lightly in disdain, they were probably trying to get me in trouble again"He's my Master afterall"i said plainly smacking my lips.

In that simple answer,i didn't explain if it's a yes or a no.

They didn't talk and this time i find the silence comfortable until the door burst open.

I stared wide-eyed at the door.

Who dares to do that?

I saw a woman carrying a large suitcase, she had the same hair as Master and similar nose but she had dark blue eyes unlike the dark black eyes of Master.

She carried her suitcase and dragged them across the living room and down to the dining room.

"Alex, Ezekiel. Why are you here?"she said and i could feel a glare not thrown at me but her.

It was Lucas,it looks like she had deliberately left him out.

I held in a chuckle and felt that it was good for him.

The lady looked at me with a frown"Who are you?".

I clasps my hands wondering what i should introduce myself as.

A maid or a cleaning lady"As far as am concerned,Ryan don't hire female employees".

So my Master name is Ryan,come to think of this,he had never for once told me his name. Now hearing it,it sounds familiar.

Like a celebrity name.

Nah. Am digging too much into it, now i have to figure out how to answer this question.

"Can't you speak?"she raised a brow.

"She's my maid"a cold, masculine voice said as Master emerge down the stairs.

He frowned seeing the woman"Amelia,what are you doing here?"he asked then darted his eyes to her suitcase.

Amelia pout"Brother i want to spend some time with you. You're not always home and now i found out that you've gotten a secret house. If you don't let me stay here, I'll report to Mum and Dad"she smiled and i couldn't help but shiver.

That smile looks so harmless yet so dangerous.

What a woman!

"Fine,you can stay but don't make any trouble"the lady nodded then turned to me with a broad smile.

"Since we're the only women here, let's try to get along and be friends. Am Amelia,you can call me Lia or Amy"she shrugs and i smiled back.

"Joanna"i said and stretched my hands forward.

She looked at it and rolled her eyes and the next thing she crushed me in her body hug.

I breathless tapped on her back and she released me"Sorry, never had a friend before"she said.

What!,when did we become friends?

I nodded neverstill"Ezekiel, can you help me with my bags"she flashed him a dazzling smile.

Ezekiel nodded and carried her suitcase and other bags.

Alex sneered and walked away. Soon all of us left leaving only Lucas.

I laughed at his expression,he looks pensive but he deserves it.

I said to myself and went to my room.

I took my phone and saw a missed call from my dad and a picked call from Mason.

I didn't answer Mason's call today, good thing i made it so that any call i recieve will be recorded.
