Chapter 25

It wasn't long after sunset when we heard growls and scratches downstairs. George of course being him, watched me like a hawk. Any time I would scratch my nose or even stretch my neck his head would shoot up.

He got into a position to pounce if something happened.

We continued our homework and finished by 9pm.

We ate some pizza and decided to watch a movie. We browsed a bit on the movie platform before we got a movie that interested us both. We settled for Star Wars. I got the big couch and George sat in one of the armchairs, his head leaning against the back support. I got a sniff of the air as I took a sip of my soda. He smelled weird; it was a smell I never really smelled before. Frowning at him, I tried to figure out what it was. His brows furrowed and he looked at me out of the corners of his eyes, only to turn his head.

"What?" he asked confused.

"What's wrong with you?" I was still frowning at him.

"Uh... Nothing?" he lifted his one eyebrow.
