Chapter 14
Nathan opened his private laptop and began writing", Nobody except his family and friends know that he his the famous author of Most of America's Bestseller novels "The Typhoon". Ever since he was a child, he has always loved reading and writing and his dream as a child was to become a famous author one day.
When he got to the university he was forced to study Business management so he could take over his family business it was his responsibilty as the first son of the family. His siblings were the only ones that knew how sad he was about not been able to write so Ria advised him to become a writer along with his studies and he has been able to handle both really well. Its been seven years since he published his first book and ever since then he has written and published thirty books.
Ever since he took over Lance Inc, he hardly ever got time to write but he made sure to except at least two hours from his schedule everyday to write. His mother's cousin was his publisher and his parents still have no idea about his side job, he chuckled at the thought and soon lost track of the time while typing away on the computer.
JAMES MANSION.
The entire James family was happily chatting with Susan and Sarah but Alicia couldn't get her mind off the guy she collided with at the airport today
"Those brown eyes look so much like my Mickey's, in fact not just his eyes but all of his facial features he looks so much like the older version of Mickey.
Could it be him?", Alicia was lost in her thoughts when she felt someone shake her arm
"Yes" she answered absentmindedly,
"Where are you lost pumpkin mom has been calling you for a while now", Julius asked her.
Alicia looked around the table and noticed that everyone was looking at her,
"Its nothing brother, I was just thinking about my designs for the art exhibition nothing much", She lied. "There is still six months for the exhibition, you still have time what are you worried about" Justin said.
"Uhhmm, what were you saying mom", Alicia asked her mother.
"Susan and Sarah want all of you to spend the whole day together tomorrow, your brothers already agreed, I was asking if you are free as well", Julie asked.
"Yes mom, I am free", Alicia replied with a smile.
"Yay" Susan, Sarah and Justin shouted excitedly while Julius just smiled. Susan and Sarah love outings and traveling and they just can't sit in one place.
They all chatted through dinner and everyone moved to the sitting room.
"I am going to bed mom I feel quite tired", Alicia said
"But you should sit with everyone for a while dear" Julie said. Susan turned to her and said
"Its okay Aunt, we made Alicia drive us around after we left the airport today so she must be tired, let her go get some rest", Sarah turned to Alicia and said
"Alicia we will chat tomorrow and you can't escape our questions then okay",
"Don't worry I won't", Alicia said
"Goodnight everyone" she added.
"Goodnight baby" her dad said,
"Goodnight, sweet dreams", the rest chorused and she went upstairs to her bedroom.
"Meeting that man at the airport today has left my mind in complete disarray, is he really my Mickey?, what if he is not?, if he his does he remember his spoilt brat? or am I the only one still holding on to that silly promise?, I am so confused", In the midst of Alicia's thoughts she showered and finished her night routines before laying on the bed.
She took out a picture from the drawer and looked at it for a while
"There were only three more days before my wedding with Nathan Collins, I don't even know what the man looks like or who he is"
She looked at the picture for a while longer before returning it to its original place then switched off her bedside lamp and laid on her bed, She finally fell asleep after turning and tossing for a while.
"Morning sleepy head" Alicia heard someone or rather some people shout in her ears, she opened her eyes and saw four pairs of eyes looking right at her,
"This people are so punctual, what are they doing in my room so early",
"What is it guys, let me sleep some more", she said sleepily.
"Its nine am Alicia, get up now or we are going to be late", Sarah said.
"Late for what guys, please just let me sleep more" Alicia said opening closing her eyes.
"Late for our outing silly so you better get up now", Justin said.
She finally woke up and looked around and she couldn't believe all of them were already dressed and ready, she looked at her bedside clock and saw that it was only 9:20 am,
"These guys are too early I mean we have the whole day to ourselves so why the hurry",
"You saw the time now Alicia so go shower and get ready so we can have breakfast and leave, I can't believe you were still sleeping" Susan said.
"Okay Susan, I will go get ready but you people have to leave my room",
"Okay we are going just go get ready", Justin said
"She will guys let's leave first", Julius said and pushed them all out of the room.
After they left Alicia went to shower and entered her walk in closet, she looked around and was confused about what to wear but based on what Susan and Sarah were wearing she decided to wear long black straight pants, white T-shirt and black jacket, she matched it up with a pair of black boots and tied her hair up in a messy bun, she didn't apply any make up since she was going under the sun. She went back to her room and picked up her phone.
Once she was done she went downstairs and saw everyone sitted by the dining table
"Good morning mom, morning dad" she said to her parents and kissed them both on the cheeks.
"Morning sweetie, how was your night", her dad asked pinching her cheeks.
"It was fine dad and stop pinching my cheeks am no more a child", Alicia said.
"Of course sweetheart you are no more a child but you will always be my little girl", Andrew said and they all laughed.
While they were having breakfast they all suddenly heard a large squeal behind them and turned to see who it was and lo and behold were Alicia's three crazy friends along with Aria, Jay's new girlfriend and Suzy Zack's girlfriend.
"Oh my goodness you guys are here", Alicia said and stood up then hugged them all.
"Yeah Alicia we are here, why didn't you tell us Susan and Sarah were in California" Zack asked.
"They just got here yesterday guys", Alicia defended "Well we were invited to the outing today and I can't wait", Jay said.
"Baby" Zia said and hugged Justin she was about to kiss him when Alicia shouted
"eww guys get a room, Mom and dad are here", Zia looked at her and said
"Speak for yourself Alicia your parents clearly don't have a problem", "Right uncle" Zia asked looking at Andrew and Julie.
"Sure sweetheart, its okay" Andrew said with a smile. "Come on dad" Alicia said. Zia hugged and kissed Andrew and Julie on their cheeks before sitting beside Justin. Jay went to Julie and kissed both her cheeks, before saying
"Girlfriend, I missed you so much",
"Babe meet my first love" he said turning to Aria.
"Oh so you finally cheated on me uh un", Julie said with a frown.
"What could I do girlfriend you weren't ready to divorce this old man but don't worry you will always be my first love", he said to her.
"Better", Julie said with a smile.
She turned to Aria and said
"Come on in my dear why are you standing there",
"So you are my Jay's girlfriend unhnn, you are so pretty".
"I know he is a little childish and naughty sometimes but he has a pure and good heart Aria, so please take care of him for me. He and Zack are just like my own sons".
"We have already met Suzy before so you can call me and my husband what she and Zia calls us; uncle and aunt".
"God bless you my dear" she added and hugged her.
They both sat down and Jay said to her
"Girlfriend and old man here are Alicia's parents, those are her elder brothers and these two dangerous looking girls are her cousins", he introduced,
"Hello everyone", Aria said with a smile.
"Hi Aria, don't worry you can feel free with us. We are all very cute people", Justin said.
"Don't worry even though my twin sister and I are dangerous looking we aren't dangerous at all" Susan said and they all laughed.
"Yes Aria, I don't know about the other James family members but my boyfriend and his dad are definitely the cutest", Zia declared and Andrea turned to Jay and said
"See idiot even Zia admits am cute, she has good eyesight unlike you".
"Uhum, calling me an old man, your father is old one", Andrew snorted and said
"She is only flattering you old man I mean just look at you, you do not deserve my girlfriend in anyway", Jay said and Andrew glared at him angrily and said
"You stupid little boy",
"Come on dad he only wants to get you angry so calm down or he is going to succeed", Alicia said and patted her father's shoulders. Jay just loves touching Andrew's weak spot everybody knew how sensitive he was to the age difference between him and his wife.
He is ten years older than Julie, he was 30 and Julie was 20 when they both got married, and now Julie is 48 and he is 58 years old and he gets really angry when someone points that out, Andrew snorted before continuing his meal.
"And everyone here is so engrossed in the fun that nobody remembers me, so heartbreaking", they heard someone say and turned back to see who it was, there was a young beautiful woman with green eyes, auburn hair and a light face, the woman wearing blue crazy jeans pants, white tshirt and green jacket with green boots was standing right behind them, It was Julius girlfriend Katherine D'Souza
