The Idol’s Wife

It had been 16 hours after Amy's once-in-a-lifetime brain fetal surgery. And for the first time since she landed in New York 24 hours ago, she lay in her hotel room, her heart beating full from the excitement of the whole surgery process.

She had to go straight to the hospital after landing, set a meeting with the O.R. Team, and then stay at the hospital till both the baby and the mother were in a safer condition. But now that she was alone and had nothing to do, she thought of Jim.

Amy thought of calling Jim and telling him about her incredible experience. She wanted to tell him how blessed she felt to be a part of an operation that had never been done before. But Amy can't.
